thanks all, throw in a hug too if poss.. I really really need them atm.. I think my eyeballs have dried up from so much crying
Hi ethel sweetheart!
Hunnie, I am so sorry to hear your news about DS. If there's anything I can do, even if it's just a chat, please don't hesitate.
Thank God he's pulled back from the life-threatening stage, ethel!
To someone who's always there for everyone else, please know that you're both in all our hearts and thoughts today.
Never forget how much you're loved here, ethel!
Whatever can I say to you hunnie?
Well angel, I can tell you that he's obviously fighting back - so for whatever the situation was sweetheart, he's putting everything into coming back to you! He has the strength of your love and courage. And thank God too, that we live in an age where medical wonders happen every day. He's in the best place to help him keep fighting his way back.
And Tiffy orders you to try and look after yourself as best you can hun, though I know you're running on emergency power right now. No swooning at the feet of the lovely drs - unless it's deliberately, of course.
Post as and when you can hun - we'll be waiting here for you angel.Do whatever you need to do ethel and take it all just an hour at a time.
Know that we're right there with you in spirit angel, and that God's going to be really busy listening to the hundreds of prayers for you both from all of your MSE friends!
Keeping you close in my heart, ethel. Triple Tiffy hugs - and more if you need 'em!
Much Love,
Tiff xxx"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0 -
Hi guys!:hello:
Well, as you'll have read, one of our dearest friends is in desperate need of some hugs and love. For those of you who are newer here, ethel has been part of this clan for a very long time. She's the warmest, kindest, sweetest, funniest soul, always there with sound advice and time for us all. I know you'll all be thinking of her and her son and sending your love.
May I please suggest that we get creative and let's send her all the hugs we can find?!
Let's see if we can fill the thread with love for her, so that she can see how much she means to us and can turn to all the hug and love posts we make, for strength and support whenever she needs them.
You're all amazing people each in your own right and you all make a world of difference to each other here.
And this doesn't mean that you can't post as usual and if you're struggling and need some support - that's the last thing ethel would want!
Come on guys - it's Ethel Time!and
!
Much Love,

Morning All....
We've a real mixed bag going on atm... ..& to those who are struggling I ask you to take comfort from the survivors on here. All of us have been so low we could crawl under a serpent's belly, but with the support of everyone on here we can soon be swinging thru the trees like the hairy apes we are:p I was going to say soar on the wings of eagles, but I don't know anyone that happy.:D
Blast! I meant to check before starting the reply......but the link to the daily mail was for an excerpt from a book that is most certainly going on my Santa list! If you go to The Arms Discussion Forum QWB, you'll find it under "Edukashun, Edukashun, Edukashun".......why not check it out folks, it it soooooooooooooooo funny I can't begin to tell you.
Aww ILGD, hope you'll come visit us:o ...but good on you for winning the battle against the Big D. Perhaps we'll cross fonts on some other threads....
Thinking of you today Rose....let us know you're OK? ((:grouphug: ))
You're sounding better Tiff, so the skiing lessons must be working:rolleyes: Just imagine the 'hiccough' as a sheer rock face that seems inpossible to climb, but when you do it's so exhilerating to be able to ski down the other side:D
Didn't you see Holby last night Tulip? Sam cut off his hair, I guess to stop it falling out when he starts treatment for his cancer, & he looks very different. And I'm getting cross with Marc----I had a huge crush on Robert Powell for years & loved him in The Detectives with Jasper Carrot, but now he is annoying me with his silly expressions.
Well, to Judders & Gilly, Hayley, SF, RBK, Poppy 1 & 2, Dawny & EVERYONE who calls in, I wish you a very quiet day & Peaceful Minds folks. BMFxFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I understand about finding it hard to trust people; what's the point when they always seem to abuse it? There are some who are worth it, however, and I hope that you find someone like that.
Sorry I can't offer anything constructive x
The fact you replied means an awful lot to me.:)
I find writing it down helps, helps me sort my head but I just want to have fun, not have to keep analysing things. My OH seems so serious a lot of the time. I tried making friends when I first came up here but it's not easy. I was unable to work due to health and childcare commitments.
I have discovered that being at home makes him more boring but he did see that for himself last night and he suggested a way of combining work and being together at home. There aren't many places I enjoy going out to up here, so it is important that home is more fun, as well as relaxing.
I also find drinking (not to excess) makes me tired and is making me put on weight. I must cut it to 2-3 times a week instead of 5 days a week. I feel it would help him too.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
