hi all, had a good day, went to woodwork this morning, as part of my treatment at the day clinic, really enjoyed it this week, and finished my first project, which was a banana tree. i'd never heard of one before, so basically its a stand thing with a hook on to hang bananas on to stop them getting bruised in fruit bowl. am starting on a table lamp next week.
hope everyone is well.
big hugs
shaz xenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -
Hi,
Not a good time for me at moment. Not really depression, just actual crap going on. I have this crap job and the stress of it is driving me up the wall.
I have an outburst at work today. A brief row with a collegue in front of the boss and then a snap at the boss and I stormed out of the office. He came to have a "chat" which just contained the same crap he has been spouting for 10 weeks and then a phone call dragged him away.
Unfortunately the agency phone me later by chance and I've told them that I don't want tht erole madem permanent even if they finally bother to arrange it, and that I am not seeking to renew my temporary contract that is up Jan 12. My stress has been heightened by the fact that I know my collegue and touchstone is about to hand her notice in. Leaving me to pick up her work and alone there. The agency as representatives of both sides are going to tell the boss what I've said and he will think it came from my outburst.
Oh well,
I just couldn't keep it inside any longer. I just don't seem able to deal with things professionally. I try to fight the feelings, then it leaks out.
To concede that I hate the job throws my whole plan into the air. If I can't be happy here can I be happy in this career type. After spending my savings and alot of time retraining. Am I a forceful enough character to make health and safety happen when everyone else is ignoring it.
I keep telling myself to try to stick there, play it cute, learn and gain valuable time served for my CV. But I am learning nothing. I am waiting for the axe to fall. I am getting no direction or mentoring from the boss and I can't stand doing my job so badly.
The trouble is I am starting to hide from the work and doing very little while I'm there. This is going to come home to roost and I'll probably get let go anyway.
I cancelled my place at the company xmas do today. I just can't sit there with them and fake being happy. I am miserable there.
Thanks for listening xxx
I don't post as much as I used to but I do read it all on here.
Hi to the newbies and love to the oldies (not literally old xx).

Amy's a bit better, but she still hops everywhere. It's kinda cute actually. She's able to wiggle her toes now but won't put any weight on it. I've had to stop letting her out though, because Muffin has taken to harassing her and she can't run away.
And my washing machine decided to leak all over the floor 10 seconds before I had to leave for work. And I got icky water all over my socks and trousers, so I had to change. I don't know how I managed it, but somehow I wasn't late for work.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I am having the worst morning. We have no water at uni as there's been a burst pipe in town, I've just had to wash my hair in the sink which was a complete disaster and I really need the toilet.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Mumma is a peacock this morning! :dance:The p-u-p really did good at skool, & was the only one who walked to heel off-lead. The trainers were well impressed too, given his heritage of english bull & staffie terrier, cuz apparently they are Mitchell Bros of the canine world  But I don't care
I just :happyhear him & the iggy to pieces!!
OK, I'm off to reward himself with a run in the park before the rains come.....not that the knee radar is showing anything, but Mother Nature could be playing tricks!
Here's to a satisfactory day, with hopefully a smile or two for good measure.

Hi, this is the first time I've posted on this forum.
I've been diagnosed with anxiety depression six weeks ago and I've been put on venalafaxine- this is seeming to help, but at the moment I'm starting to be anxious again- don't know why.
Has anyone else had anxiety depression as I don't experience the terrible lows some of you have, but do struggle with a sense of panic most of the time (although it has lessened thanks to the med)
Any advice much appreciated.
