i have thought about it and done some with him but I really don't have enough time to do it full time.. I'm at uni trying to finish a degree

What's been offered is 2 days a week doing GCSEs, 2 days on a mechanics course in a boat yard and the fifth day would be one on one tuition with a home tutor, but we have to get the school to agree to release the funds to pay for it all  meeting on monday morning to discuss it  lol

Tiffy.. I say again, you are a wonder.. we have had quite a few experiences in common but I don't think I handled them half as well as you did. You're an inspiration to so many of us and I thank you for that.

    Lots of love

    Hi ethel hun!:hello:
Just a quick one angel. Great news about DD!!!:j :T
As you'll know from reading The Tiff Chronicles, , I had to get my son past an Appeal Panel to get into a full, overcrowded fantastic school.

As you'll realise by now, a lot of my survival is explained by the Tiff Letter phenomenon. No-one wants to receive a Tiff Letter, believe me.:D ;) If you need any help or advice angel - please just shout.;) I helped a bit with karrie's appeal - good luck to DS karrie!:T - and as one of the mainstays of the thread hun, I know you'll have heard of the Tiff Letters.:D
The same goes for anyone else. Please don't be afraid to ask.;) Got to go hun. Tiffy hugs.
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

I had a tiffy letter remember? and it helped immensely :D

Had a visit with my psychiatrist today. I was prescribed tablets called Zyprexa or Olanzapine. They treat bi-polar disorders but she stressed 3 times that I was not schizophrenic. I did not think I was !

I am really worried about the main side effect of weight gain though. I am 6'4'' and 20 stone and I really do not want to get any bigger.

my daughter had olanzapine for a while, I think they're anti-psychotics or something, I'll ask her when she comes home, but her weight hasn't changed as a result of them and she was on a lot of other things too, risperidone, lorazepam, some other thing I can't remember

Hi You :) Nice to see you again.

    How are you?

I'm a bit nervous as OH has decided to get me a job - thats despite me being on IB and me only managing to leave the house once in the past month. Breakdown here I come!

Oh if I could leave this country tomorrow, I would. I would head to somewhere brighter, more family orientated, laid back and relaxed. This country is really depressing to live in.

Hi I did that a few years back and am now suffering from depression, different country different problems language, lack of friends, no work etc.

At times I really feel like a stranger here, the best advice I had from my doctors was to go back to my roots, i.e. go back and spend sometime in the UK, which I did and it really helped.

Please don't get me wrong, not saying it would be the same for you if you move, just sharing my experience.

But if you do get the chance then follow your dream ;)

:hello: ............I've been a dirty stop out! Me muvva & I had an impromptu pyjama party...only neither of us were wearing pjs so I guess it was a nightie party! Bless her, she has always been terrified of thunderstorms, & was convinced we would have one last night.......I'm thankful that I can sleep anywhere, & on anything, cuz I was in the spare room on a mattress:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I take after me dad for that!

Ethel, just make sure that they take your views into account, preferably by writing them down & giving them a copy & keeping one yourself. It also helps to write directly to the Board of Governers, the Local Education Authority & your MP, cuz if [when if they're like our lot]they go back on what they've said, you have proof of how hard you are fighting to support your son's education. It is difficult not to get too personal, but try not to name any names of tutors you disapprove of, but do include the names of people you will be sending copies to. Hope I'm making sense?

Changing the subject completely----I have to agree with Dawny. I'm a "better the devil you know" & if you live here & exercise your right to vote, at least you can't be put up against a wall & shot for not agreeing with the ruling militia:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Rose...hope you enjoyed your bike ride, ooh & someone else has done a lot of walking---my leg muscles are twitching at the thought of all that effort;)

OK I'm off for a bit of lunch....Is the kitchen open for hot snacks:D ---I'll have beans on toast, fish for Tiff & whatever QWB is having---Andi's paying:rotfl: :rotfl: Catchas later.

    Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx

    Afternoon all :hello:

I was watching one of those property shows last night where a couple moved abroad to live in the middle of nowhere, I was thinking I don't think I could cope with the loneliness of it.

Tiff all the best at the GP's.

I'm not feeling too good today, had my blood results and they are saying i'm normal, I certainly don't feel normal ;) Going to go out as I think being stuck in the house is making me feel worse.

    love and hugs to all
