Nice to meet you BMF
Poppyjay - you are definately moving forward! I think as we start to do more and more, it is normal to get anxious at things. Things aren't going to get back to normal overnight, and you are making progress! One AA phrase that helps me a lot is:
"Progress, not perfection"
I have to remember that I can't do everything perfectly right away. I've got to have a little patience!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Had a visit with my psychiatrist today. I was prescribed tablets called Zyprexa or Olanzapine. They treat bi-polar disorders but she stressed 3 times that I was not schizophrenic. I did not think I was !
I am really worried about the main side effect of weight gain though. I am 6'4'' and 20 stone and I really do not want to get any bigger.0 -

Hi Cif, nice to meet you.
Did the doctor mention wether this drug increases appetite or slows down metabolism, or can it cause weight gain in other ways? My current antidepressant does both, so its pretty hard for me to loose weight. I'm managing it though.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

She would not provide me anti-depressants as they would make my high moods very manic. These tablets are anti-psychotics and they increase your appetite and can slow your metabolism.0 -
Seems to be loads of people around my area getting diagnosed with anxiety/depression. What is it with modern living in the UK that makes us all miserable? Lack of contact, overwork, over eating/drinking to try to reduce stress but making symptoms worse?
I'm saving up for a time when I can leave this country and live in a happy place where I can live in peace with myself and others around me. I really am looking forward to this time (which is positive I guess). I know my thinking is pretty messed up right now but I'm sure this country is more depressing than a lot of others (even poorer ones)? Any thoughts? I mean just read BBC Have your say you'll see what I mean, it's all negative..0 -

Oh if I could leave this country tomorrow, I would. I would head to somewhere brighter, more family orientated, laid back and relaxed. This country is really depressing to live in.Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get0 -
Will any other country really be better?
The whole world is probably just as evil and corrupt as the UK...Dream of being mortgage free....
