I don't wear foundation or eye make-up so my selfie would look the same anyway!
I suppose I could do a selfie with make up, as I have a couple of foundation sachets but I don't own a scrap of eye make up any more.

It looks as if all my splutterers will run out at the same time, hopefully before next Monday so they will end this month. There's about five different items on the way out. :)

Another UU tonight. Biotherm blue therapy night cream 15mls 2 more in the stash I do really like this but got it on offer in a gift set which I bought for the serum. It isn't SO good that I'd be willing to pay full price for it

Sorry InaPickle, I don't even remember him. I do have a bit of a soft spot for Mr Pitt though and he usually eclipses everyone else on screen. x

   But how? I'm don't normally drool at the screen, but he's enough to make even me go potty.   *Ponders and realises it means a better chance for herself* *Sneaky grin*

I'm liking how we have suddenly started to forewarn enabling posts. This is very considerate behaviour. Let's keep it up, ladies! :)

Emsjune78: I though I had written a little something to you but I must have tried to multiquote too many times. I'm really sorry about your loss and the rubbish work situation. There really is nothing worse than rubbish in your private life colliding at the same time as rubbish in your work life. *Sends massive, positive, helpful, DIY-type hugs* Holler if we can help. xxx

Also, another UU: TBS Rose Hand Cream. WIBA? The consistency isn't the best for my hands - I think TBS almond one suits my hands much better, or Sanctuary or Champneys, but I liked the SPF in it. More hand creams should have SPF in them - nobody puts gloves on in summer!

I've never really 'got' the whole Brad Pitt (or Johnny Depp) thing....perhaps it's from being a teenager in the 90s, they were being dribbled over in every magazine and I just never understood why. Brad was tasty in Legends of the Fall but that's about it for me. Mind you, I never have gone for pouty or effeminate looking men

Back in those days I was more into Robbie Williams, wouldn't touch him with a bargepole now, to think I used to cry because I knew I'd never marry him! Ah to be 14 again!:eek::eek:

I find myself falling in lust with Liam Neeson more and more as the years pass, anyone share that?

UU #51: S&G The Ultimelt Hot Cloth Cleanser 100ml; WNBA, I liked this when I was using it occasionally but as soon as I switched to everyday use, it became apparent it wasn't for me. Dried my cheeks out and (I suspect) left my chin very congested. Replaced with stashed Superdrug Naturally Radiant HCC from stash.

I did my selfie last Friday and did NOT enjoy the process in the slightest -- DH and I had been an item for almost a year before he saw me completely slap-free :o THAT'S how deep my issues with my self confidence run :( But, my gorgeous big sister has battled cancer three times and won, my poor mum wasn't so lucky :( so I felt they deserved it.

Sorry, but no. ;) I was also a teenager in the 90's/2000's and don't get the thing about Brad or Johnny (although there's something to be said for Captain Jack Sparrow...)

I've always had a bit of a thing for David Beckham and that man certainly does get better and better looking with age... wouldn't want him to speak to me though. *drool*

But I digress. Nothing to add to the actual thread from me. Plodding along as always. :D

Very behind after an awful week of a close bereavement and a horrible situation going on at work prior to that (and still looming once I go back). :(:(:( Come to catch up for a bit of normality and friendliness. This is so much more than a toiletries thread. :) Have some UU and IN to declare, will do that once I've caught up xx

Couldn't read and not comment. So sorry to hear this. :(

I don't personally understand the difference between tinted, bb, cc or even what they are for, i use a primer and a liquid foundation and haven't changed that ever, should i be?

You should do whatever works best for you :)

A tinted moisturiser is pretty much a sheer coverage foundation. Whilst it may contain some moisturising properties - thats not the aim of the game with these type of products.

A BB cream (in the traditional Korean/eastern sense) - often called a 'blemish balm' or 'beauty balm' is really a skin treatment, that incidentally has a bit of coverage (although tends to be sheer). Traditionally developed for sensitive skin post skin treatment - i.e. after a chemical peel for example.

They will typically contain a good SPF, some form of calming agent (i.e. aloe), some kind of physical barrier from outside elements (often titanium dioxide which also acts as an SPF - be careful of flashback if wearing when you're likely to be photographed) and are generally moisturising and restorative.

Korean/Japanese BB creams tend to lean pink/a little grey if you're unlucky.

Western BB creams in my opinion, are just jumping on the bandwagon and I find the skincare claims questionable. You'll probably get a bit of SPF in these and some moderate coverage.

Western BB creams tend to lean a bit yellow - as is the more typical skintone in the UK - but I find these don't blend out well for me - even the lightest shade tends to show up on my skin.

A 'CC Cream' or 'Colour Correction Cream' is largely the baby of cosmetic companies wanting to make the 'next big thing' and tugging at BB Cream's coat tails. These tend to be lighter on the restorative skincare properties but heavier on the coverage - they tend to be marketed at a particular skin concern - i.e. hiding redness, or removing sallowness (the former mostly in western brands and the latter mostly in the Korean/Japanese brands)

Hope that helps a bit - really as soon as these things got 'mainstream' the lines start to blur a bit as the big companies want to make a 'catch all' product that does everything so I like to stick to the brands that were pre-hype!
