Emsjune I'm so sorry to hear your sad news and that you're having a tough time at work. Hope things improve on the work front soon and that you can take some time to pamper and look after yourself.
I also liked the suncream advice link, thanks Kadison. I am going to have a look in Boots for a facial suncream to use over the summer period.
I really want to try the EL double wear foundation - I too am really pale and struggle to find the right foundation colour. Currently using the palest shade in Barry M Matte foundation and I am actually really impressed. The colour is perfect for me and doesn't oxidise - a real find for me! I bought Nars Sheer Glow earlier this year and am not impressed with it to be honest. It's ok but don't feel it is worth the price for me anyway. Heard so many rave reviews about it so I am guessing it is probably worth it for some people.
The Models Own speckle polish is still going strong - hardly any chips or tip wear. Really impressed despite the odd application.
No UU - so many splutterers but it has been a really slow month this month.

71 - Cheap eye make up remover from Wilko's (can't remember the brand). Thought I would give this a go.
I'm really pale and find all the EL shades too dark for me
I hate buying foundation. I wear BB cream with a bit of mineral powder in the top anything else makes me feel like I've been tangoed0 -
UU - 15ml Glamglow mask. Love this, makes my skin so much clearer. V expensive, so wba, but would need an offer really to afford it.
Also, v v tempted by the Lancome GWP, might pop into HOF tomorrow and have a little look...

Emsjune here's some hugs. I'm sorry to hear your news. Also hope work gets better soon.
I met a friend last week that I've not seen since I was made redundant, she said I was looking sooo much better, less stressed and much happier. :)So although I have less money, I feel soooo much better that I no longer have to go to that office and deal with the huge amount of stress and strain I was under.
Thanks Kadison for the suncream advice link. I'll look at the link and get a facial suncream to use over the summerLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
I can't remember who posted about the Balmi lip balms (sorry) but wondered where they got them from as they were a really good price? Thanks x
In store at Tesco, they only had raspberry on offer, i'm not sure if it's Tesco wide but i think i might nip back in and get the others if they have any left0 -
Thank you soo much for all the kind thoughts, it really does mean a lot :heart2: And what you said about everything comes to pass, good or bad, really resonates and I'm going to keep that to heart over the next few weeks.
I did raise a smile catching up with the thread to see that quite a few of us are falling off the wagon this month, in quite some style!I do love reading about the latest purchases. I have an urge to buy things at the moment but its also coupled with not wanting to be bothered so hasn't done too much damage. I have bought some bits of makeup that I needed and a few toiletries but nothing excessive. Plus still finding that Boots 3 for 2 is working across pretty much everything and vouchers etc so still being MSE, I think its ingrained in me now! Still keeping a note too xx

Which BB creams do you use - I have a clinique that just about matches but for me they are all too dark. (Havent tried any of the Korean branded ones though)

Cheers, Emsjune.
I'm glad I listened to my inner voice and posted that. Sometimes that knowledge has been almost the only thing that's got me through.
On another thread I was moved to post a link to Ewan MacColl's 'Joy of Living' some time ago as my inner voice told me to.
To cut a long story short it was exactly what someone needed to hear at that time, always worth going with good instincts.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
On a bit of a roll
7. Urban Decay mascara. GWP size. Hit the 90 day mark and was starting to clump. Nice but I don't buy expensive mascara. I have another in the stash.
8. Body Shop 50ml Body Butter. Jolly Orange 50 ml. Nice. Don't know if they still do this scent.
9. Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus. 7ml. Have 3 more in the stash. Has lightened but don't think it will do much more.
10. Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Lifting Cream 7ml. Nice. Great over the winter. Reminded me of the Prevage line. So, if I get through the stash will buy either one next winter.
Got a few splutters. Off to Cancun in the morning, so some samples will be used up.
Hope all are doing well.0 -

The revlon one it's a bit too dark but not too bad with powder on top. I use lily lolo porcelain usually in winter (but I've run out) and China doll in summer. It's SPF 30 which I really like
I think the maybelline colour adjust one is meant to be quite good but it's also a bit dark for me but not bad.
I'm desperate for a good under eye concealer Lily lolo is too yellow, benefit boi ing not strong enough, lemon aid was actually better but that's too yellow. Revlon one is ok but doesn't cover enough, faith in nature doesn't cover enough. I don't like touch eclait or the Clinique cheapo version. I'm using an elf mineral powder at the mo along with the revlon concealer and it isn't great but is as good as any of the others but a quarter of the price. So if anyone can recommend a good eye bag concealer for very pale skin I'd be eternally grateful. I like to look natural too not made up.
I found everything from clarins much too dark0 -
Thanks dazedandconfused will check those out -although when my skin is having a flare up BB's dont provide enough coverage.

Boots No7 purifying mask
