hello everyone! was just wondering, I have some Elemis pcmc in the stash, but is it for morning or night? and how 'heavy' is it? xxx
I use PCMC as a day cream and am using Liz Earle Skin Repair as a night cream as it's richer. PCMC is very light. Has a gel like consistency. This looks a good deal, no?

Here is a link to the last TSV on QVC. I got this one at Christmas. Might be worth trying if you wanted to try body products rather than skincare.

I agree with maddiemay on this that I didn't notice a difference with the bliss capsules. I get the impression that they are good for a quick pick me up ie to combat illness or perk skin up prior to a big occasion ie wedding.Sundaysgirl wrote: »Sorry for all the posts! Catching up...
That looks like a great deal. The PCMC lasts ages, IIRC my 15ml pot lasted me almost two months used once a day, it goes much further than other facial moisturisers I find. I LOVE the balm cleanser! Just started a huge pot of it after a three month switch and can see and feel the improvement after only three days. I'm just about finished a pot of the night cream, it's ok but I'm not so struck by it as the normal PCMC. Not a fan of the cream cleanser. Enzyme peel is nice!
hammyham - I quite often use PCMC day and night, it is very moisturising but not heavy at the same time IYSWIM. Doesn't clog the skin, and you only need a teeny bit, particularly for day use. HTH - and I think it's a travesty that it is languishing unloved in your stash!
My 30ml pot of PCMC lasts me about a month and a half but I'm guessing that's because I'm older than Sundaygirl (I'm 45) and my skin can tend to be dry at certain times of the month (rather than certain times of the year). When I originally started used PCMC when I was 36 a 30ml pot lasted me 3 months.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I have four INs to report. It was my birthday and a friend has given me four absolutely divine fresh soaps with fragrances such as cucumber and mint (that one smells DIVINE!). Looking forward to using them!

Thanks VALM (and maddiemay!), that's helpful. Since I *do* have my wedding coming up in a few weeks I wonder if I could justify the bliss capsules as a necessary IN... :rotfl:
I checked and my 15ml PCMC lasted me exactly 6 weeks. I do use it very sparingly though given that I have a tendency towards an oily T-zone (TBH I could get away without using a day cream).
Happy birthday Vicky A!
Welcome back Oxford Owl - got to say I'm rather envious of your minimalist stash list!
My MrB Sanctuary order is ready to collect so that will be another 18 body butters IN:wall:

HELP folks.......what's the best thing for strengthening nails? And stopping the edges of your fingers getting dry hard skin (is that your cuticles I never know, I'm rubbish with nails....doesn't stop me owning a million polishes though)

Before my wedding, I used Sally Hansen Maximum Growth religiously and it really made a difference, insomuch as my nails were covered and protected, I painted a layer every night before bed and removed it every 4 or so nights and then started again.
I can't say it made my nails grow faster, or thicker, but just having that physical extra strength of a couple of layers made them much less likely to break. I think any clear polish would probably have the same effect. It also fills in the ridges so my nails look nicer and makes the pink of he nail bed pinker, and the white tips whiter. They just looked a whole lot better in general.
Can't help with the hard skin thing as I bite mine0 -
I find carrying a bottle in my bag helps me get through it....know that's not always practical with some of the bottles though
Thank you, that's a good idea. I carry around a little bottle of Chanel for when we're going somewhere posh :rotfl:but might also put a cheaper bottle in for top-ups.
2 more UUs today:
1. Aldi Lacura lip balm. WDBA - bargain and works well on my lips which are always dry if I forget to apply lip balm regularly.
2. Spa Body Wash from Tesco. WDNB - received as a gift at Christmas and I'm soooo glad to have finally finished it. I don't know what it was meant to smell of but it smelled disgusting and I couldn't wait to get rid of it so I can use something nicer.Thank you to everyone who posts on here0 -
A few UU:
Soap and Glory glad hair day (50ml) - WMBA love this shampoo, but I can get the same result from Timotei at a fraction of the price.
Ted Baker bath foam (250ml) - WNBA. My skin seems to be reacting to this, so had to stop using. Used remainder to clean the bath out!
Ted Baker body scrub (300ml) - WNBA. Very greasy and not very effective.
And a few GA:
Ted Baker body wash (250ml)
Ted Baker body lotion (200ml)
Ted Baker body souffl! (300ml)
Ted Baker hand cream (125ml)
-Top three given to my sister straight away and hand cream will be part of her birthday present.GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."

I really rate Jessica Critical Care - it's quite expensive (about £19?) but lasts forever and is a really nice quick-drying treatment. It doesn't seem to build up, so you never need to remove it. I've always had super bendy nails that crack at the tips, and this stuff sorts them out totally (when I remember to apply it every night). The last time I used it consistently for about 4 months, I could open keyrings with my nails, which I've never been able to do before! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -

I've actually just, this morning, ordered a set of 4 mini atomisers from amazon, less than a fiver.
Didn't want to just get one and have to try to clean any trace of prev perfume out of it to use a different oneNo more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80
