Oh dear, someone had a discount code for Xtras and bought more make-up *Sits on naughty step for the duration*:o
You're welcome!
I haven't used them yet as I'm working through my Lancome dreamtone serum first, I have heard wonderful things about them though!
To me, the best anti-ageing protection is sun protection, but I am more bothered about pigmentation as I am quite freckly and prone to moles, I certainly don't need any more appearing on my face
Be careful about using powder make-up as your only spf, it's been said you'd have to look like Barbara Cartland before you get enough coverage to benefit from the spf!
I haven't found spfs clog my skin.....
Another thing to keep in mind, in the summer especially, is the amount of time spfs stay on your skin. If you are wearing make-up and/or won't be re-applying every couple of hours, go for one that stays on your skin longer.
Going for a high spf does nothing if it wears off after a couple of hours.
I use this one as it stays on for up to 8 hours, opposed to their normal face ones that stay on only about 2 hours. I looked forever to find non-greasy non-heavy ones and this is just about perfect, and always on offer!
http://www.boots.com/en/Soltan-Once-Face-Moisturising-Suncare-Cream-SPF30-50ml_1314649/
In the winter I always use spf30 (Olay or Body Shop) but I've been having laser hair removal and they recommend using spf 30 minimum.
Kadison, thank you for the rec of the Soltan, I will put it on my list:D I have very sensitive and quite thin skin so hate anything thick and heavy.
I agree about sun protection being the best anti ageing product, I have said on here before that my hands are terrible, even for my age, as it is only in very recent years that I have protected them, I have never sunbathed, but always had walking holidays, twice daily dog walks and gardened.
I only rely on make-up for protection in the Winter, when there are many days that I do not leave the house or only walk the 100 yards from home to bus and back. Being an oldie, I spent many years of my life before spf was added to face cream:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I have eventually managed a few UU's and only 1 IN so far:j
IN
Lacura Face treatment oil for sensitive skin - I crumbled in the end as I have only a little Roship oil left and I like to keep a little for when I get an allergy breakout on my face.
UU
1 bar soap
75ml Pantene Repair & Protect shampoo, been in stash forever. WNBA makes me itchy and weighs hair down
Sensodyne gentle whitening toothpaste. WBA
125mil Ojon Leave in conditioning cream. Formula changed so WNBA, have half a tube left in weekend bag, but too heavy for my hair now I don't colour it.
50ml Lacura Serum, bought about 5 years ago and is a cream not a serum, used it up n hands in the end and pump stopped working ages before the end:(
7ml Smashbox Luminizing Primer WNBA, a free sample but a strange gold/orange tone, which did mean I could use up a too pale foundation! The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
All the talk of PCMC is really making me want to buy it! I am also feeling guilty about my lack of use of SPF
I might get that one you mentioned kadison to use when the weather gets a bit warmer.
Yes I gave in to the Models Own speckle polishes - hard to resist on 3 for 2, plus I remember when the Illamasqua ones came out last year and I really wanted them but resisted (think they were £15 a polish  )0 -
I UU, Aussie Leave in Conditioner. WMBANo more goo hoarding!

58. Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream 15ml - WMBA, but think I prefer the PCMC for night use - the night cream was perhaps a little heavy for my (not-too-mature-yet and oilyish) skin.
59. Philosophy Cranberry Medley 60ml - smells divine (and the smell really lasts!) and is very moisturising without taking ages to absorb or being sticky. However, given the price I doubt I WBA as I get through lotions so quickly! Not sure if you can even buy this on its own anyway. I've been using the fruitcake trio (maple scrub and vanilla cake mix shower gel) and it's fab - but does make me want cake! I have another two sets stashed but likely to GA as presents as they make a lovely gift in the tin.
Clearly i need more friends like you at Christmas, the trio sounds delicious.
All this talk of SPF has made me realize I've never even thought about it before this week, being so very deathly pale i tend to shy away from any heat/sun but fingers crossed we're having 2-3 trips to the sea side this year so i need to fine something to save me.0 -
I have four INs to report. It was my birthday and a friend has given me four absolutely divine fresh soaps with fragrances such as cucumber and mint (that one smells DIVINE!). Rearranged the bathroom cupboards to see exactly what needs using up before I move in a few months. Found 2 more shower gels I didn't know I had, lots more minis of shampoo/shower gel, and 5 cleansers...
TA 2 Dermalogica matte moisturiser minis.
UU Tresemme Naturals shampoo (decanted the half empty bottle into a half empty bottle of Tresemme colour shampoo, so no actual product useage but 1 less bottle in my cupboard).New graduate trying to get debt-free.
Make £5/day challenge: August £84.08/155
I owe £5400 (plus £34,000 Student Finance)

Have finally talked myself out of buying the Escada perfume. Tried it again yesterday and, while I still love the fragrance, it's more similar to the CK One Shock I already have than I originally thought and it has no staying power at all so wouldn't be a good investment. Glad I didn't cave and buy it now, I was very close to doing so a few times!
I'd like to try the PCMC but if I loved it there's no way I could justify spending so much on a moisturiser at the moment and after a bit of quick Googling have found that Elemis is not cruelty free.Never say never0 -
Nice to see you back Roguey - hope you're ok.
I noticed that we had lost the Oxford Owl too. Haven't seen kipling monkey for ages either.amberfinn53
Welcome back roguey. I did wonder where you got to. We seem to have lost Oxford Owl too.
I'm still here! Just lurking for a while as I've been hugely busy, writing two theses and producing and playing the lead in my last uni playEven my poor blog got neglected
I'm on my holiday now, so should be back in the swing of things! I'm still following along though, hope everyone's okay
Stash is going down, down, DOWN! I'm now on 47 items, and will graduate at 33Amazing considering I started at 198 in September! I've totally cured myself of casual buying, and very much view Lush as a treat rather than the norm now :P
