    I got into the formal complaint system too, no response yet but a £50 credit hit my account this morning.

    That's terrible, it's almost as though they are trying to bribe you into not making a complaint.......... No hang on, youre complaining that they aren't bribing you to not make a complaint.

    they have credited my annual fee, the £15 which some have been offered if they spend £300, and £20 for call costs. but im struggling to get them to flex re. doubling my cashback...and that would be worth far more to me. will keep trying.

    re. moving forwards: i may use the Visa card as a back up to my American Express card for a while, but im not sure. the CapitalOne Aspire Elite looks the best alternative available at the moment, but i know they are very tight re. dishing them out. don't really want to commit to generating cash which can only be used at Amazon (happy for you guys too, though...my Amazon shares are doing well;)). the other option is to go for a HHonors Visa...which i've had in the past, and is good for generating Hilton points, but the upgrades and access are more beneficial than what the points materially pay for. without one, they'll be downgrading me to Silver from March next year.

    OK Im now through their complaint process with £50 and the double cashback offer. Spoke with a very nice lady. Couldn't get the £100.

    Yes, the same for me. Had some e-mail discussions. Then no replies to two of my e-mails. Will contact them again in a week or so, but getting the feeling that I'm losing this battle!
