Starlight, Thanks so much for the link to the other website you gave out the other day.:T I had a look last night and found the thread that gives people low point ideas. I've just been to Asda and bought some Iced Gems, I've not had them for years but at 2 points per pack I can see them becomming a standard item on the shopping list:D.
I'll be going back to remind myself of the other things on the list.

    Lubo

Glad it helped :) Ive added to it twice already today, definitely one to bookmark ;)

I love minimins, as you might have noticed by my post count on it lol

Hi There, I've been given some unwanted slim fast shakes, and wondered if anyone has tried them/lost weight with them. I thought they would be ideal for work to keep in the fridge saving me making sarnies for work.

I've just made my Quorn lamb and Butterbean stew for this evening, I can't smell it (you never can when you're cooking it can you?) but MrP and DD say that it smells lovely, so if it turns out okay I'll post the recipe...

...........here's one fella waiting, fork at the ready, to see how this went. :)

Ajax, Good luck to Mrs A hopefully the change will put her back on the weighloss train. I find weight watchers reasonably easy to work with, especially if I eat loads of free veg to fill me up. Quorn is really low in points too which leaves more points for treats:j

... thanks for the good wishes Lubo, I'll pass them on. As regards Quorn, after living with me for three and a half years, there's nothing she doesn't know :):D

Right I'm going to challenge myself to try and diet OS. I already cook most meals from scratch, but prob due to portion size and things like that, over the past 6 years (since I've been married, I've put loads of weight on) Mom says its contentment but I know its cos I'm a greedy pig lol. I've always yo yo'd with my weight, the only time I've ever lost it and kept it off was when I moved back into my moms when I was 20 after splitting with ex. I managed to lose 5 stone in just over a year from eating my moms simple home cooked food, meat and two veg dinners I called 'em. Don't remember her ever weighing things out for me or counting calories, she just gave me sensible sized portions. So I'm going to have another shot at it. Just found a nice local butcher that does some nice cuts of meat at good prices and will start buying veg from local market too. I think I'm sussed for evening meals and for lunches will prob just have egg on toast or jacket spud/beans that kind of thing and no added sugar cereal for breakfast.Hubby and DD can eat the same as me, it's not diet food so should be good enough for them too. Will try and cut down on sugar too and stick to skimmed milk. Will stick to full fat for DD. I do like my curries/spag bols/lasagnes etc but I get carried away with portion size and always cook too much pasta etc. I'm going to start this on Monday as I need to go and do a shop. Been trying to use up whats left in the freezer this week. I'll post up a shopping list, once I've sorted a meal plan. Anyone else fancy having a go with me?

... emmie, I'd love to join with you. As someone who would live with an OS mindset but with today's technology, it would be great. I'll be substituting meat with Quorn, but would love to hear your ideas.

Lois, can you put me down for a pound and a half loss this week please?

I cheated though, was worried about potential gain, got on the scales and it showed a pound gain. SO I walked the dog until his legs fell off, only had a banana in 12 hours and ended up with a pound and a half less by the time I weighed in at SW. I know it's dumb and not the sensible thing, please no-one give me a hard time :o, but it's bought me a week's grace.

Ajax at least you went:o I couldnt get there and have not even weighed here at home. I'm too scared after all the chocolate I've had this week. OH is on strike tonight ( works for a well known soft drink maker) and I've been worried about it all week so did my old trick and turned to choccie:mad:

Havin been thro miner's strike many moons ago I know how these things can turn out and I hate it. He says all is well, I shoved all my choccie on him to take with him to keep warm so I couldnt sit and eat yet more. DIdn't mean to go on...sorry

Congratulations to all the losers and maitainers.

Lois, will you put me down as a maintain. I will definatly go back to day 1 tomorrow and go next week

Hi to all the newcomers, I know there's a few but havent had time to read all the posts. I'll do my best to catch up.

I'm struggling at the minute. After months of maintaining and being frustrated that I wasnt losing I have now started gaining  This has been my best week so far, lots of fruit, muller yogs, loads of water and free foods and I stood on the scales this morning (ok, wrap on knuckes I have done most mornings) but this morning it showed a gain of about 3lbs  WHY?? I feel fat and frumpy at the minute, all in all I have gained around 7lbs from my lightest weight. Exercise is what I need but I cant seem to fit it in, especially as the kids are off school.

Lois - have you heard (or anyone for that matter) from Consultant? I wonder how her and her family are?

Petrichor - I've heard that clip from Becky loads of times and each time it has me in stiches - there are other ones, you could google her or I think it might be on RTE radio?

    Love to all,
    Honey X

    Hi Honey

Please don't beat yourself for gaining, anyone in your shoes would do the same. Look on this interlude as a break from it all and that when you get back into your own home you'll be reinvigorated and ready to climb back on the wagon :j ...Re connie, she is about and did put a brief appearance here the other week. I only spotted it a day or so later and pm'd her, not good news as you can guess, but she does hope to get back to us in time, she is due to go on holiday soon, as she has been comfort eating...on a brighter note here are more of Becky's prank phone calls they have saved me this week :rotfl: :rotfl:...

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

...... she says she wants to lose it. I don't know if that's the same was wanting to lose it.

Umm… I know someone like that :D I wish her all the best on her change over to WW. Just keep an eye on things like jacket potatoes – their idea of a ‘medium’ jacket is the size of my fist and I have small hands

    Many Congratulations SUGGS!!!

Hello mushroom1992 and emmie1234  welcome to the thread for losers :D

rustynash – I wouldn’t have tried to figure it out how much you lost but just count it as a maintain and use those scales every week from now on because now you have to mess around with the calculations every week. Just how did you work out what you’d lost? My mind boggles :rotfl:

Lois^^ thanks for the chart and the optimistic way you credit my loss achievements. I love you too :D

Many congrats to all losers (including the ‘cheats’ Ajax) and hugs to those who gained. We know it will come off again soon :j

*Sigh* I'm confusing myself now! All these eating plans sound nice but I can't seem to stick to one - I keep messing them up :(
