    What a quiet day today...

I have decided to 'experiment' with my calorie intake. Yetserday I was a little more relaxed with things and today I have gone back to being good. I am feeling more positive that this will result in a change on the scales on tuesday morning (WI day). Who knows! Will be gutted if not. I need to lose over 1 lb to get over the next big hurdle - pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssse!!!

How are you guys doing today? It's just too quiet...

I've just made my Quorn lamb and Butterbean stew for this evening, I can't smell it (you never can when you're cooking it can you?) but MrP and DD say that it smells lovely, so if it turns out okay I'll post the recipe...

...efrieze I'm pleased to hear that you're feeling more in control and I bet you'll easily pass that next hurdle next week :j It always seems to help when we're feeling upbeat about things... You're right it has been quiet today, I tend to get a bit paranoid when it gets quiet on here because it usually follows when I've done some posts and as I did three earlier today I think I must have scared everyone away :o ...

...newlywed Imagine that fudge cake going straight to your hips:eek: No!! You do not want any!! :D ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Starlight, Thanks so much for the link to the other website you gave out the other day.:T I had a look last night and found the thread that gives people low point ideas. I've just been to Asda and bought some Iced Gems, I've not had them for years but at 2 points per pack I can see them becomming a standard item on the shopping list:D.
I'll be going back to remind myself of the other things on the list.

Starlight, MrsA is going to join WW. We are due to weigh in at SW tomorrow, and she will tell the new consultant that it's the end of the road for her.

She's worked out (thanks to you fantastic breakdown) that she will get 25 points to use. If a decent glass of WW wine is one point, she can fill her boots and still get by food wise. In this case I think it is a case of better the devil you don't know. Thank you again.

By the way - I would get 32 points to use, judging by your scale. If WW works for her, and I get all these extras, I may become a convert. Watch this space lol.

Ajax, Good luck to Mrs A hopefully the change will put her back on the weighloss train. I find weight watchers reasonably easy to work with, especially if I eat loads of free veg to fill me up. Quorn is really low in points too which leaves more points for treats:j

    Evening peeps

Well done to Suggs on your amazing weight loss -loved the pics, its good to put a face to the name too ;)

Well done to all the losers this week, sorry I wasnt in time for the chart Lois.

I'm struggling at the minute. After months of maintaining and being frustrated that I wasnt losing I have now started gaining  This has been my best week so far, lots of fruit, muller yogs, loads of water and free foods and I stood on the scales this morning (ok, wrap on knuckes I have done most mornings) but this morning it showed a gain of about 3lbs  WHY?? I feel fat and frumpy at the minute, all in all I have gained around 7lbs from my lightest weight. Exercise is what I need but I cant seem to fit it in, especially as the kids are off school.

On a brighter note I had a swedish back massage today, it was a Christmas present which I had never got round to going for - it was lovely, so relaxing I fell asleep! House is coming on, we have a covering over our roof at last, windows to go in next week and then the electrician and plumber will move in. Been at my parents for 7 weeks now  Now I remember why I moved out when I was 21 :rotfl:

Lois - have you heard (or anyone for that matter) from Consultant? I wonder how her and her family are?

Petrichor - I've heard that clip from Becky loads of times and each time it has me in stiches - there are other ones, you could google her or I think it might be on RTE radio?

    Love to all,
    Honey X

Right I'm going to challenge myself to try and diet OS. I already cook most meals from scratch, but prob due to portion size and things like that, over the past 6 years (since I've been married, I've put loads of weight on) Mom says its contentment but I know its cos I'm a greedy pig lol. I've always yo yo'd with my weight, the only time I've ever lost it and kept it off was when I moved back into my moms when I was 20 after splitting with ex. I managed to lose 5 stone in just over a year from eating my moms simple home cooked food, meat and two veg dinners I called 'em. Don't remember her ever weighing things out for me or counting calories, she just gave me sensible sized portions. So I'm going to have another shot at it. Just found a nice local butcher that does some nice cuts of meat at good prices and will start buying veg from local market too. I think I'm sussed for evening meals and for lunches will prob just have egg on toast or jacket spud/beans that kind of thing and no added sugar cereal for breakfast.Hubby and DD can eat the same as me, it's not diet food so should be good enough for them too. Will try and cut down on sugar too and stick to skimmed milk. Will stick to full fat for DD. I do like my curries/spag bols/lasagnes etc but I get carried away with portion size and always cook too much pasta etc. I'm going to start this on Monday as I need to go and do a shop. Been trying to use up whats left in the freezer this week. I'll post up a shopping list, once I've sorted a meal plan. Anyone else fancy having a go with me?
Marriages are made in heaven, but then again so is thunder and lightning!!!.....getting divorced lol :j

Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help? :p

Weight at lightbulb moment 13 7lb
goal for Christmas 12 7lb! :rotfl:

    Hi Emmie,

The best place on MSE to get advice and support on losing weight is the Lose Weight 13 thread on the I wanna board so I'll move your thread over there.

For recipe ideas have a look at the Losing Weight Recipes Collection here on Old Style.
