Well done starlight :j :j To have passed the 6 stone mark you must notice some real differences, could you tell us how it has benefitted (sp) you please? It would be a source of motivation to the new folks here and to perhaps also mention what has been the hardest thing so far. :D ...

...Lois I'm glad you mentioned sweet potato, I'd never had any until about 6 months ago and I really like it but had forgotten about it. It's nice as seasoned wedges too. I'll try to remember this for next weeks plan :T ...

Can we fill the thread with 200 pages of drivel just so that Lois has to go to the hassle of starting Lose Weight 14? :)

    hey guys!!
sorry i haven't had a chance to read and reply to all the posts, will try to catch up tomorrow evening.
Just though i'd update - my first day at work went well, i was a little nervous but everyone was lovely.
Am sticking to SW quite well at the mo - had 2 Hea and Hebs today and the rest was free food (rice for lunch, pasta for dinner) and some syns in a cereal bar and a few squares of dark choc for dessert just now. hope tomorrow goes as well! Also, i went to a bodypump class this eve - lots of weights etc feels good to have done some proper exercise but i'm gonna ache tomorrow!!!
Well done everyone who's already weighed in, and welcoe to all the newbies (i think i spotted a couple when i was scanning the pages!)
    hope eveyones happy and well!!!

Hey well done starlight. Respect! I do hope this gives you (and others )Home Alone hope. Stick with us here and little by little, you will achieve you goals. Forget those horrid 'little' girls. I quite understand how you feel: although I have less weight to lose, I have a horrible skin disease that currently is leaving me very disfigured and I too am finding it tough to face the outside world. Many of us here know how you feel and you have do so well to cope with disbility. Best of all, you have got straight back on this site as soon as you got home. I think you really are going to do it. Think in small goals and find an eating plan that works for you, with plenty of things you enjoy eating.

Welcome Aussie - I know how desparate you feel to exercise yourself better, but you are ill, you are NOT lazy. If you have ME you should not be pushing yourself with exercise. As you are finding, it tends to back fire. Be kind to yourself. Weight loss will be slow if you can't do exercise but there are others in a similar boat on this site and it can be done. I'm afraid with ME you just have to drop your expectations - life becomes less dissapointing and painful that way. Keep posting, we'll all support you

I notice SO many differences, I think today brought home the biggest change. When I started WW back in January I could literally barely walk the lenght of myself. Today I took my 4 year old niece out for 5 hours shopping etc and although Im aching tonight, I had the best time. I could never in a million years have considered it a few months back. My nieces were 2 of my biggest incentives, I want to be able to do lots of things with them and be a large part of their life. I really felt I was in danger of killing myself had I continued the way I was going.

Ive set myself mini targets all along the road - chopping and changing from lbs to stone... my last one was to pass 6 stones, my next one is to pass 90lbs. I had a skirt that I couldnt get on by any stretch of the imagination. now I can wear it and its much too big at the waist. I tried it on once a week at my weigh in and it was brilliant seeing the difference. I also take a photo every month. one side view, one front view its so motivating to compare them and see such a difference!!

I havent really had any difficult times, it all seemed to click in January, and I can say hand on heart Ive not deviated one single day. Ive had nights out, christenings etc but managed to incorporate it into my points. I try and save a few points every day and on a Monday (after my wi) I have a Chinese Take Away and a few glasses of wine. I really think treats are SO important.

Im also really active on a weight loss forum, and have a diary on it, I find that really therapeutic, I dont list all my foods etc, but I do try and update it every day, looking back and seeing the changes is a real boost, and its a great record of my journey to date. Im never sure if Im allowed to post other websites on here but this forum has been a large factor in my success to date, as Im not going to WW classes or anything the support on it has been invaluable.

Sorry if Ive rambled on a bit but once I get started I AM indanger of being a diet bore ;)
