Can you put me down for 1lb put on... grr.. in my defence the last time I weighed myself was beginning of June and since then Kids have been ill twice! and me and DH have been ill as well, so diet went out the window... so in all am pleased...

Am now trying to get some sort of exercise sorted out... am doing trampolining once a week but that only counts about 15mins (due to everyone else on trampoline within the hr class. Am thinking about going Step & Tone Class down at my local sports centre... and taking the kids swimming at the weekend... but I can't really count that as kids are under 4years so can't go for a swim... Want to go for bike rides (got the kids a trailer) but with this weather not really been forthcoming...

the devil made someone correct me if I am wrong but doesn't muscle weigh more than fat so if youa re going to the gym 4 times a week, you will be building up muscle therefore not losing weight as such. However, I think you should notice a difference in bodyshape?

Hi Aussiesbird - welcome to the thread.

I post the weight loss chart on Wednesday evening, so if you're going to a slimming club, post your weight loss on whatever day you go and I'll add it to the next chart, Otherwise, make Wednesday your weigh in day and post your result before 9pm to be included that week.

Good luck with your weight loss.

Thanks LL. I am not doing a class or anything just trying to cut out sweet things (mainly chocolate!!) and increase exercise. I have recently been diagnosed with ME so find it very difficult to get motivated. My overall target is to lose 5 stone but I will start with a target of a 1 stone loss by 1st October.
I can only please one person per day.
    Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

I have also got at least four stone to lose and have been diagnosed with ME and FMS so weight loss is slow. I joined here about two months ago and have lost about 4lbs. I am not ablr to exercise like other people as it just completely flakes me and I can't do anything at all so I do understand. Just try aimimg for small amounts of weight loss so you don't get disheartened, like 1lb at a time. I have been put on new drugs which virtually guarantee weight gain so I am happy if I stay the same at present. You can pm me if you want to chat about ME.

Well, I too am low. I have been down since last week when I maintained (and didn't lose despite being just as good as all the other weeks on my diet). I've been good this week too but I don't feel like I have lost anything this week either. Weigh-in is on Tuesday but I am going out for dinner Monday night (which I hate to do with WI on Tuesday morning) so I am not hopeful. After having lost a fair bit of weight, maybe I just need to plateau for a while but it is still disheartening :(
  • Thank you for all replies, much appreciated :)

Eriqueen - I burn off over 300 calories cardio, and well over 100 in strength. I don't go crazy as I monitor my heart rate too. Because I am a veggie, I eat a low fat diet anyway. For the last couple of months I've been eating salad with my quorn meals and I've been eating more eggs and different beans (kidney beans ect..) for extra protein. I always eat breakfast which is usually cornflakes and I use oat milk which is a non diary substitute. I'm not following any particular plan, but I am calorie counting.

Jojilufc - I am doing a basic training routine set out by the trainer, however, he suggested to up any weight or resistance if the plan he'd set was too easy. I will ask him about further weight gain when he's at the gym next.

JHKE - hmm I know what you mean about muscle building, and maybe if I'm honest and stopped having a negative opinion about myself I could say my bodyshape is changing slightly. However, I don't think I'm getting the results for the effort I'm putting in. I got weighed today and I've put 1lb on :(, it's really soul destroying.

Once again, thanks for the replies. Hope everyone reaches their target :T

hmm so i gave in and had a bit of choccy... 4 bits so about 20 grams, not too bad but back on the wagon for the next week again.

the devil made me do it i wish i had your will power with all the exercise. rather than weighing yourself and feeling down, perhaps you should start to take measurements and see if you notice the inches coming off rather than the lbs?

    I too am a veggie :)
