Hi TDQ - how long are you on holiday? I ask becaue we've still got 2 weeks left of the July challenge, it ends on 1st August, so you may still be able to do it.

Evening all :hello:
Well done to everyone that lost weight this week, and commiserations if not.
There are two Slimmers of the Week - congratulations to Vixx and Lydia Sophia who both lost 4 pounds. :T
Well done also to Ajax, Bindiboo, Efrieze, Mistywoo, Suggs and Victory, who have all achieved the July target. :j
I maintained this week, but it's still possible to achieve the July target, so I'm back to repeating the mantra:
I will achieve the July target... I will achieve the July target... I will achieve the July target... I will achieve the July target... I will achieve the July target...
Have a good week everyone

Hello all
Well another day is nearly done , went to consultant phsychiatrist with my son and he has diagnosed him with social conduct disorder , i dont really know what it is yet although i know he explained it but my brain has kept non of the information so i tryed to look it up on pc and just became really confused so if any of you have come across it , i would be grateful if i could pick your brains .
well done for losing and maintaining Efrize , rustyrash , tescodealqueen poohbear59 , katmad99 , salsysoo , emptypocketz , misty , vixx , lubo , bindiboo .
Hope i havent forgot anyone but if i have well done.
Lubo - I always defrost chicken before use as you can drain off extra water , i dont know if it works the same for quorn but it may be worth a try.
ajaz - Will definately try it , i cant believe how low in fat/cals they are , with veg etc it will make a great low fat meal. thanks again
take care all

HELP!! Been dieting for over 2 months and spending 4 times a week in the gym.
I am a veggie too, but haven't lost any weight in that time, what am I doing wrong here? I actually feel like giving up the diet and exercise to be honest
When I go to the gym, I spend about 1hr 30 mins and I really work out, usually burning over 300 calories each visit.0 -
Hi everyone,
well done everyone who's lost or maintained this week -commiserations to anyone who's gained.
and a special congrats to those who've already achieved this months goal:j
Really busy day for me today. I took DS to my niece's birthday party this afternoon. It's amazing how active a child under 2 can be. One of her birthday presents was a slide that was almost as big as I am (5ft 5) and my DS spent most of the afternoon climbing up the slide and going down it. - I'm exhausted... he's completely knackered and sound asleep since 7.30 but has learned a new phrase.... " one more go!" (complete with one finger up to show me how many he means!):rotfl::rotfl:
Today has been quite a wake up call for me. I'm so unfit and it's really not fair to my son. I was starting to get resentful that I had to stay with him all the time to make sure he didn't fall off the slide (didn't always move fast enough - he fell off the top step once!):(. I just wanted to sit with the other mum's who's kids are old enough to look after themselves or who's toddlers aren't as fearless as my wee boy. The good thing was, it kept me away from the party food! (Well, most of the time:rolleyes:)
It's funny the way things make you think. I lost over 3 stone 2 years ago so that I could get pregnant with DS. I'm now back to the weight I was before I started trying and have been kind of complacent but today was a wake up for me. It's not fair on my son that his mum is too heavy and unfit to catch up with him (He's only 21 months old!) I have to be completely honest here - it's not just the birthday party that's been making me feel like this, my weigh in this morning showed a gain of 3lbs!.
This means that I'm only 3lbs lighter than I was when I started trying to lose weight all that time ago.... Almost back to square one and my DH is just too kind to tell me!
I've been chatting to OH tonight and we've agreed that our holiday next week is going to be an active one with lots of time spent playing with DS and going for walks as a family. I just couldn't bear spending my week off competing with my OH to see who gets the most or longest lie in. (this happens most weekends - we never usually row but we both get resentful at having to get up with DS at 6.30 on a Saturday morning). My OH is one of the lucky ones who does very little exercise and eats whatever he likes but never gains a pound more than he really needs.
really long post, thanks for letting me vent. Have a great week everyone.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Morning,
I was going to thank Petrichor for the van but I’ll thank Lois instead for confirming that I am sane(ish)
Is it today that Victory goes on holiday? If yes, and you catch this before you leave, I hope you have a fabulous time  Of course if it’s next Thursday I’ll still have the same hope :j
I tried a HM quorn dish on Tuesday night – I did the sausage, beans and mash suggested (I hope) by Alex. Chopped the sausage up first and browned it off with the onions and sprinkled the top of the mash with stronge cheeze. While not being overly impressed with the sausage itself the meal turned out much, much nicer than I’d anticipated and I’ll be making it again.
Went to graduation yesterday and it was everything I’d expected – long, boring and full of students!! My dad was proud as punch but my OH apologised for making me go :rotfl: I guess the main reason I didn’t enjoy it was the fact that I didn’t know any of the other students, because the majority of them were full timers and I’d never seen them before, so there was no interaction or intermingling between us. I did see 2 girls I’d met in my last module and we shared a hug before they raced off to join friends and family – which was nice.
Ok – congratulations to all losers and maintainers and hugs for everyone else. Too many for me to list individually at the moment as I need to get my nose to the grindstone but I’ll be back later 'cos I've only managed to catch up to page 340
