well done to (takes deep breath) biniboo, empty,sa,lubo misty, rusty and erlqueen. :j :j :j

Erlqueen, I joined SW 9 weeks ago and I didn't enjoy the meeting at all at first: I felt I was in some ghastly Victoria Wood sketch! However, the leader had so emphasised that those who stay always lose the most and maintain the loss that I've made myself keep going and talk to a few people. Now I've got to know quite a few people and I actually look forward to going and it's become fun and supportive and even though I've not learnt loads of extra stuff by staying, it has been motivating, along side this wonderful forum.
So, try and give it a go like your husband suggests. Perhaps get talking to someone else who's new and look shy and needs someone to talk to her - she'll be very grateful and you might feel you belong a bit more. Well done n your .5lb loss. Every bit counts

Hi - quick question. I am going this alone but I don't think my scales are that good! Should I buy some digital ones?

I really want to loose a stone and can't seem to see if I have lost anything yet or not......

    Hi Lydia
I much prefer digital ones (and you needn't buy really expensive ones.) They are just so much easier to read. I found with the other type I couldn't tell if I had lost a 1lb or not and and for encouragement, every lb counts!

I also use digital in the kitchen for the food I weigh all those little extra bits all add up.

Mine are WW ones and show each 1/4 lb. However when they don't show any weight loss, I tend to dispute their accuracy!!! :rotfl:

well done all you fab loosers:j :j

Just a quick question that H and I have been debating....in the last few days have had a huge craving for greasy fried up horrible greasy take away kind of stuff:D the way I always handle it is to never give in, I treat it like a fight me against my body/brain....I win:rotfl: I just up the veg etc and it goes away, only this time it has gone on a bit and H reckons it is your body telling you that it is lacking in fat or something as the body needs carbs, protein etc all the variants to distrubute the energy levels correctly...

So, what do you think is H right that it is the body mechanism craving fatty foods and lacking in them or am I right that it is prob due to what it used to be like, the golden days when fatty stuff was allowed?:rotfl: :rotfl:

Does anyone know if there is a scientific research done on cravings?

I am really struggling with this - I can never loose weight - am to greedy. Just been into obne of our meeting rooms and there is enough food left over to feed an army (disgraceful waste I know).

I can't help myself. Took most the fruit but there is such yummy stuff left - I want to eat the lot - sob sob sob!

Ok, do you know who touched the food in that meeting and whether they wash their hands after visiting the "little room" ???? Most of the guys and some of the girls in the office I worked in DIDN'T

That should be enough to put you off anything that isn't washable - fruit can be run under the tap - pastry and breads can't!!! :D
