Me again - last post tonight I promise!
Just thought I'd share this week's menu with you all:
Thursday - jacket potato, beans & cheese
Friday - salmon fillet, new potatoes, green beans, baby corn
Saturday - sausage ragout (from recipes thread)
Sunday - out
Monday - cajun chicken breast, roast vegetables, SW chips
Tuesday - roast vegetable pasta bake
Wednesday - Quorn chilli & rice
Tomorrow I'll cook a double amount of roast veg, and then use the extras to go with the pasta on Tuesday.

Hi everyone,
Just back from a meal out locally as it was Mil's birthday. I'd only planned to have one drink and only bought myself one (West Coast Cooler - if anyone other than Honey knows what they are) but FIL and Bil both bought me another one and SiL bought a bottle of semi sec rose cava so had a wee glass of that too. (didn't really drink all that - left most of a bottle of WCC behind and most of the cava too to be honest:rolleyes:).
Dinner was fine - actually Joel's (DS) looked much better than mine, chicken tenders, mash, gravy & veg. Mine was roasted stuffed chicken breast and champ - serious lack of veg but I assumed they'd come with the chicken. ( Unfortunately, had banoffe pie and (ahem) birthday cake. That only cost us £30! not too bad at all!
Anyway, my menu plan for this week is as follows:
Monday: Quorn Chilli Pasta Bake
Tuesday: Stew
Wednesday: Chicken Curry & rice
Thursday: Breaded Chicken breast, mashed potatoes & veg
Friday: Sausages, sw chips and beans
Saturday: Stir fried beef & noodles
Sunday: Roast Chicken, veg, potatoes & gravy
I've just picked up a few ideas for next week's menus from Lois and Petrichor (thanks girls!).
Lois is the roasted vegetable pasta bake on the recipes thread too?Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Hi Everyone - I have just spent an hour or so reading through LW12 and this thread and wondered if you would mind if I joined the July challenge? I have a lot of weight to lose - if I'm honest it is about 9 stone but if I could shift 7 stone I would be very happy. I have tried every slimming club and have never managed to stick at it - I comfort eat and sometimes end up bingeing. I joined WW last week and am determined to try and eat sensibly and hope to be able to go out this Christmas, not sit in feeling too fat to socialise, which is what has happened the last few years. I am on 30 points a day, which is quite alot of sensible food but not very much fattening stuff!! You all sound to be doing really well. I found this thread because I put a search out for the All Bran cake which I used to make years ago and which really helped me - it was a nice treat and not too fattening. I am going to make some with Splenda.
Anyway hope you don't mind if I join in.Jane

kyle great to see in your sig that you are counting down the days to your hols, I do that on my calender and each day that goes by cut it off with scissors, isn't part of the hol looking forward to it!!0 -
Ok, I have moved my post from the arms;
Hey guys,
I am hoping to join the club soon but want some advice before I start. Just some background;
My weight over the last year or so has shot up and down which I know is not healthy. I am really annoyed with myself because I lost a lot of weight back in Dec and managed to put it all back on again.
Now I have finished uni I am determined to get rid of it all!! I actually have a treadmill in my house and thats what I have used to lose much of the weight(plus controlled diet). I usually go on the treadmill twice a day(45 mins) each session and each time burn off around 500kcals . I usually go on around between 10-1pm first session and 7pm-10pm for my second one.
I am having a problem when I go on my second session. My legs feel really weak and I start to get really hungry?
I do drink plenty of fluids so I am unsure why. Should I start off this week just doing one 45mins session and then after I get used to it start to do 2 sessions the next week?
Sorry for the long post!
Thanks

...Your caveat saved you Lois :rotfl: I was quite surprised when you said fishfingers were high syns because for 3 Birds Eye FF's are only 140 cals, that's one reason why I can't get my head around some of the SW. I was never allowed them as a child and I think it's perhaps why I love them now, I've found them to be of great help when dieting too. I used to buy them just for myself and get the Harry Ramsden fish shop style for MrP and DD but they said they were too big for them and would prefer !!!!!! too, so now I have to share them. My chicken breasts today will be done with cajun spice too, I love the stuff and I use it to coat salmon fillets as well...
...maniac Hi! I can't help you re the exercise but one of our experts will be along shortly to share their extensive knowledge with you...
...Right I'm off now to bake 2 cakes and by the time I get back I expect to see you all up and about!!...
...Oh and by the way I've lost a further 1.2lbs on weigh in today :j :j...
xxxx
* now 55 mins slow typerI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
