...thanks delly. That's very like SW, the only non-free veggies on a red day are the four you mention and (I think) kidney beans.

Oh, and 100g Quorn mince is not only 1.5 points, it's also not very much Quorn mince :)

I must admit I usually use a 1.5 point portion if Im having spag bol and its not a bad portion. 60g isnt bad when its cooked, not huge but does lol

I think it is as always down to finding what suits you best. SW wouldnt work for me but I know its a great system too :)

Main thing is we're all on the right track and our weight is going down :)

Had my wi today - hmmm bit hit and miss, I keep my scales at my parents so Im not on and off them constantly. As theyre on holiday I have them at home for my weekly weigh ins. I weigh myself on my parents nice flat slate kitchen floor on my bathroom floor the scales were fluctuating and showed between a 3 and 6lbs loss this week, so Im erring on the side of caution and counting it as 3lbs

3lbs loss this week takes my overalll total to 88.5lbs, and Im still maintaining my one stone per month average :)

ajax - had a big post for you but lost it and starlight beat me to it.

well done kyle and starlight I agree with Petrichor - words fail me.....

If it's not too rude to ask, starlight are you following the points plan or the core plan and have you ever switched. ? I've tried every diet known to modern man but never gave any of them a fair go. I have done WW before and lost weight and you've inspired me to give it another go. What is an average day's menus for you?

    Awwww thank you guys :)

I do points, havent been tempted by Core since points is working so well for me.

    An average day.... hmmm

    Breakfast:

    Cereal 2.5

    Lunch

Sandwiches, with a cold meat filling - 4 points
    WW yoghurt 0.5
    Apple 0.5
    WW Bar 1.5

    Dinner

Tesco HL Meal (average of) 7 points
Meringue, creme fraische and raspberries 2.5

    Snacks

    LF Popcorn 5 points
    Frazzles 1 point
    Milk 1 point

This was Thursdays menu... not the healthiest lol but just one day at random.

Im also a member of www.minimins.com which has been a lifeline, they have a WW section which you can view as a guest. Theres a lot of low point/snack ideas on there too, I also have a diary there, if youre thinking of trying WW Id give the sub forum a look - I always think its good to get an opinion from people actually doing the diet as opposed to the official line from the WW/SW site :)

Well done everyone, I can't believe how much some of you are losing!!

Did I get it wrong that the weigh-in is on Wednesday?

GL stands for Glycaemic Load - it's the next step on from GI if you've heard of that? I'd be happy to explain more if anyone is interested.

Haven't done any menu plans - I try but my BF makes things difficult, lol! He's away this week so I can plan the next few days at least. Do weekends not get included? I'm at a wedding this weekend so God knows what I'll do!

    Take care all x

    Evening :hello:

Efrieze - I really like the idea of Slimmer of the Month - I won't do it this month as I've only counted monthly totals for people that opted for the challenge, but from the start of August I'll include a total for everyone.

Beard - welcome back. :) As Petrichor said, we all have !!!!!! months, but at least you're back again. You were hidden in the chart as you hadn't been around for a while, but you've reappeared as if by magic. ;)

Petrichor - well done for getting to 8.5 stone, that's a great achievement. Are you getting plenty of compliments from people? Hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Starlight - an average of a stone a month is amazing, well done! You must have amazing willpower and determination. How much more do you want to lose, if you don't mind me asking?

Ajax - yes, I should have been more specific in saying that corned beef was free on Red. Canned macaroni cheese, vegetable curry, bombay potatoes and spagetti bolognese all used to be free on green, until SW decided that they were 'being abused'! Apparently members were liquidising macaroni cheese and using it as a sauce with lasagne, and wondering why they didn't lose weight. By the way, a SW consultant once told me something that helps you remember what vegetables are not free on red (not that you care lol) - the four P's - potatoes, parsnips, peas and pulses... so if it begins with p avoid it on red!

Juststarting - I think it was you that was asking about GI breakfasts? I did scroll down to check but it must be on the previous page. Oats have low GI, but there are cereal options other than porridge, such as oatibix - the bitesize ones are great, available in original (quite nice), chocolate and raisin (yummy) and apple and sultana (nearly as yummy)! You can also have bread as long as it's wholegrain, so toast, or egg on toast would be good.

Bails - the weigh in chart goes up on Wednesday but people post their results on whatever day suits them, especially if they go to a slimming club. Also, the weigh in chart used to be on Monday, and some people have stuck to Mondays as a result.

Well, I started writing this post about an hour and a half ago, and then had a long phone conversation with my daughter!

    Have a good day tomorrow.
