Afternoon all :hello:
Well, no rain to dodge, not here anyway, the weather's been really nice today.
I'm pleased to announce that I now have an outfit for the wedding - accessories toobut I didn't get as much exercise as I expected as I only had to walk from M&S to House of Fraser (and they're next door to each other!) then back to the car.
DH is worn out though, him and shopping don't really mix!
Welcome to the newcomers - including yet another thread that has been merged with us. I hope you stay around (that's if you can find us again - lol). We're a friendly bunch, so feel free to ask any questions and share your experiences with us too.
Petrichor - thanks for the suggestion about the pasta bake recipe. Part of the reason I hadn't posted it was because it was one of those 'bung' it in recipes and I wasn't too sure of the ingredients, but I put it on here so why not.
Ajax - good point about Lennox Lewis' BMI. I saw a programme on TV where they calculated the England Rugby team's BMI and most of them were in the obese category too. I don't think it is an accurate tool to use for everyone, particularly those who are particularly muscular.
MrsJ - I know lots about SW too, although I'm not doing it anymore. I lost 6.5 stone in 18 months, so you would soon lose 1.5 stone. It takes a little while to get your head round the plan, but it really works, and you don't have to put up with being hungry.
Notanother - well done on your first week, I'll add it to the chart on Wednesday.
Have to go now - DH has given me the four minute warning, dinner is about to be served!
See you later
::Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
DH and I have just got back from Xscape - we were going to watch Die Hard 4.0, but it was full (must remember to book in advance next time!) so we had a couple of games of ten pin bowling instead - you weren't up there too were you?
It's a great feeling, and you have many more options now. Before I lost weight I only went into the 'fat bird' shops (no offence meant) and found it amazingly satisfying to go into 'normal' shops, only to discover that some of them had expanded their size range and I'd never realised!
I'm off to CMK again tomorrow - got a wedding to go to in September, and I haven't got an outfit yet, so John Lewis/M&S here I come, and as they're at opposite ends of the shopping centre, I'll be getting some exercise at the same time! (I'll be looking out for you!)
LL
Hi Lois, I was in the Xscape last night, Was there about 6ish to get tickets to Transformers for 8.45, Had to collect MrsSuggs daughter from work, then headed back for 7.30 into Moon under the water for a swift Diet coke and then Transformers which I thought was pretty good, As was Die HardEvery second Saturday evening, we are trying to have 'date night'
Not been in CMK today, went to the gym instead and did a big session, 54 mins CV and 1072 cals burnt
It is a good feeling to know I can get clothes from M&S etc, like you say it increases the choice and for me it reduces the distance I go to buy clothes. I used to go to Birmingham to buy my bigger clothes, very nice shop there, customer service was really very good.
How did you shopping go?Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Just thought I'd pop in to check up on my lovely online slimming chums...
...Well done notanothergreyhair :j keep it up :j ...
...Pleased to hear that you got your wedding outfit Lois it's such a weight off the mind when these things are sorted out :j Usually when I'm looking for something I can't find anything that I like, but when I'm not, I see stuff everywhere...
...I see that you're both in cracking form again today ajax :rotfl: and delly :rotfl: I'm having a job keeping my halo shiney...
...Suggs Well done on the gym work today, I wish I could burn off over a thousand calories in less than an hour, the mere thought just kills me  and keep up the date nights :j because once the romance goes everything else goes as well...
...I'm trying to get my menu plan sorted out for this week and having read some of the others on here it's helped give me some ideas :T I tend to get into a rut and do the same type of stuff each day every week, so I'm trying to be different this week (you wait I bet it'll end up the same again!!:rotfl: ) but I've run out of fish fingers so there is hope:D . Yesterday in the supermarket I bought some vegetarian sausages - Grassington's 6 Double Cheese and Red Onion - on BOGOF, MrP spotted them, they sound really nice and only 68 calories per sausage, so I'm trying to think of a way of using them. Has anyone here tried them?
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

...... which supermarket, pray tell? They sound divine.
As for a way of using them, how about in a pretend quiche? You'll be familiar with the old SW Pasta n Sauce / egg 'quiche' ...... if these sausages have the texture of quorn rather than the vegetable mush, then thinly sliced would be luvverly in the Pasta n Sauce/egg mix and bunged in the oven. ( If anyone doesnt know what I'm waffling on about, I'll post it up if there's interest.) Serve with a bit of salad and McCain low-fat roast potatoes.0 -

First things first, WELCOME MrsJ and Bails
Congratulations on 1.5lbs off Notanothergreyhair you're off to a great start.
Petrichor - please don't sit there keeping your halo shiny - I'd really appreciate another female joining in.. These kinds of threesomes are never enjoyable for longAlthough I have to admit, sometimes Ajax is just asking for it....
Ajax - you leave my wobbly bits alone. At the moment all I need to do is swing my hips once and the perpetual motion keeps the rest of me going for about 5 hours.
... <snigger> hey delly, she said "crack" <giggle>
Shut up Beavis - I mean Ajax........:p
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
