Thanks all for your kind words and thoughts on my food hoarding! I think your right kat, it might have something to do with my childhood. My mum brought us up on her own and I can remember manys a time hunting down the sofa for change for a loaf of bread
Well I'm going to to go through my cupboards and freezer today and meal plan before I go to tesco this evening, hoping to only need fresh fruit and milk. Will let u all know how I get on.
kat had u recorded the rich and hungry programme? I watched the first one and tried to watch the second on iplayer last nite but I couldn't find it?
Have a nice weekend xxNSK April power shower #370 -
A kitchen drawer sorted, a few bits to ch shop and plenty to recyc. But 1 drawer has worn me out, woe is me!!
I knew i'd be spending today as dd needed new tap shoes. Her ones had got to the point of making her cry when she wore them - oops. But her show is next Sat and she needed them, so it's my fault for leaving it so late. So we had to go to a shop and pay £19.95. Ouch. But I've learned my lesson for next time!
Today I'm grateful for getting a parking space by the dance shop, for my lovely mum sending me some sweet scented flowers through the post, for dd choosing the cheaper pair of tap shoes, for the buds on the apple trees and for fresh water.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Evening All,
SFD day for me today as was at work, busy busy there at the moment as we have quite a few patients that need two of us to get up and dressed, and there are only 3 of us there in the mornings (plus 2 nurses but they don't count!!) Considering we're supposed to be a rehabilitation hospital, we seem to have a majority of non-rehab patients at the moment.
Anyhoo, have am dd free tonite as she is staying at my mum's an extra night so have a list of things to do as long as my arm so need to get on.
Totals are:
12/15 SFD's
£81.16/£100 groceries incl cat food
13/18 LTW
£20/£40 petrol
30/30 donations/declutter
Did my favour by sorting all my old moving boxes out from their various hiding places around the flat and lugging them all into work for a colleague.

Just a quick check in. Still no baby, will get induced next weekend. So had enough, could cry. Challenge is out of the window too, just have no motivation for anything. Will catch up on reading previous posts later.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Evening all,
Poor you thrifty, I can imagine after 9 months of waiting another week seems a long time to wait. Fingers crossed that baby makes an appearance sooner.
Just checking in for the day. Spend day here today as spent on car parking in town and on an overdue birthday present and a little bit of food so OH and I can have a nice dinner together (we rarely seem to eat together any more).
Had a very productive day as moved and decluttered lots of items that would be in the way when the work on our house starts. Even managed to get OH involved with the larger items.
Hope you have all had a good day.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Fingers crossed the baby decides to make a move sooner thrifty!
Still no SFDs recently here, yesterday's free tea/cake from JL turned into buying a dress. Slapped wrist for me. Today I needed milk, so picked up a few bits to see me through the week. Made nearly £17 from selling stuff today (decluttering!) so that offset a bit of the spending. And had a free trip to the gym using payasugym credit, funny how much longer you stay there when you know they charge £5 a session than when I used to have monthly membership, felt like I had to have my moneys worth even if I wasn't actually paying!New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Thanks, me too. Been pregnant literally for 273 days, by the time I get induced that will be nearly 10 months!!! Will soon change this for having a baby strapped to my boob 24/7 for months, not sure that'll be better. Sorry, enough moaning. Read somewhere that being like that means labour is imminent, lol.
Should have an SFD tomorrow. Park in the morning and a birthday party ( present bought ages ago) in the afternoon.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Don't be down missy I'm sure we can all relate to feeling like we just work to pay off debt and pay the bills and sometimes the debt doesn't seem to be moving quick enough. Keep going and make sure you do treat yourself every once in a while. This week my treat was a gluten free pudding from M&S and it was amazing the difference it made to my mood. Evening.
Money-wise, not much has been happening since I last posted as I have been working and we kinda ran out of money.
Note: I am better than before. About £150 of the £400 went into savings, £50 was petrol, and we have approximately £40 still in the bank account so although I say we are out of money, it's not like before when I had demolished £400 by the 15th of the month.
:embarasse
Aw, thrifty. Please don't get too frustrated. I can't think of any suggestions on baby-encouraging things.
:undecided
I hope everyone who is feeling a little down and a bit low on hope feel a bit brighter soon.
As I saw in a tv show once: every pothole has hope.
Keep plodding on torties.
