I'm a bit green at this malarkey.. and suspicious lol but its good to know what sites others are using :) I recognise the three you have mentioned, My$urvey was the one I bailed out on :( I'll try again when I have time next week :)

Morning, yesterday was a spend day as I ordered a new car seat for DS. Already paid it off the spending CC.
Today will be SF though, the most exciting it gets it's taking a gas meter reading! What s it with energy companies? We switched last year and have sent in reading when asked then we get letters asking us for yet another reading as our bill is "very large" ARGH! I can't be doing with energy companies messing us around again after Npower deciding we had two electricity meters and deciding our gas meter was incorrect and whipping £700 out of our account without warning, we got it refunded but it was a fight and now I am extra vigilant about turning lights off and heating off. Can't handle it if it happens again :(

Just been informed that the new car seat will be delivered between 840 and 940. Fantastic. A child's product from a children's products website being delivered during crucial school run and nursery time, you couldn't get more ironic if you tried!

Mrs get- def worth submitting the details. My old supplier said the same and when I rang them the gas was about 1000 units more than it should have been and if they hadn't queried it they could have just taken about £700 from my bank!

Re food bank toiletries- currently I'm in the hotel on My spa break and they have a load of mini products. I always take these but as I take my own stuff in case they don't have them I have a massive stockpile at home. Need to declutter toiletries so was thinking I could donate these to food bank. They would be the ideal size as they contain a few days worth of stuff. Then I could spend my money on other stuff like toilet roll or tampons. Thoughts?

On the skincare subject... Have any of you tried Liz Earle? My mum introduced me to it and I really like it, I have skin that gets quite dry but also gets spots (particularly certain weeks in the month). My mum uses the moisturiser too which I don't, so we order a "complete pack" and split it between us. Works out a bit cheaper, although I do sometimes feel it is an extravagance...

clippy_girl - giving toilet roll and tampons sounds like a great idea, and as you say, the little bottles are a perfect size for a few days' supply so I don't see how it would be a problem!

In other news, £16.45 in A!di yesterday, a few substitutions to the list as they didn't have what I'd planned, but I don't want to go to T3sco as I risk falling prey to temptation and buying things I just don't need! I plan to go to the chinese supermarket tomorrow for some thai curry paste (I have everything else for a delicious curry, then supplies for pad thai, noodle soup, all sorts. Could do with some paste though!) and paprika (for potato wedges with a greek yog and chive dip while watching the rugby, among other things), and hopefully a sieve as I have been getting by just mixing flours vigorously, but the cheap rice I got really needs thorough washing or it goes very gloopy! :rotfl:

Gym tonight :D. And last night :D:D. Ooh! I also went for my first open-air [STRIKE]run[/STRIKE] jog since November yesterday! Woop woop! :T :T :T

    Morning Torties....

    Been number crunshing today.

Although feel a little guilty. LL came home at nearly 0100 last night. I left the snib on the door and my phone on silent. Whoops! He had to work his way through the garage and knock on the greenhouse glass that resonates up through into my bedroom...... Second time I have done that!

Anyway.. I have precisely another 7 paydays to tuck away £1000 each month bar the last which will just be the OT that I have done in my last month of being in London.

This will be the same time I sell my motorbike - aiming for between £1800-£2000.

My last wage will be all mine as there won't be any rent to pay and my deposit will be coming back to me...

I estimate a further = £9650 coming my way which should see me through to a mere £12050 including what I have now however this EXCLUDES any OT...

Speaking of OT. I am working on Sat night 2300-0700 then Sunday from 1500-2300.. so a very quick turn about by the time I get home and some Zzzzz's.

Was hoping for an easier weekend on the 22/23rd however the Sunday shift I wanted has gone so I have [STRIKE]applied for another night shift.[/STRIKE] just been given another nightshift! :T..

Still awaiting confirmation for the same crazy double hitter the week after that - since I am taking a shift off for Mumsy to arrive on my birthday (first weekend in April) I need to compensate for that now.

Phew! Tired just thinking about it.... :T:T:T.........(just the way I like it)..

    Morning all :)

I was supposed to be working from home today, however laptop not working  I could have gone into the office, but chose to take leave as I would have been too late to take the little man to breakfast club.

I didn't shred yesterday, i was very annoyed getting home. My older two had plates all over the kitchen eldest son not emptied the bin and i was not best pleased  Said son turns 21 on the 28th and is off to Portugal with girlfriend. He has decided to hire a car and needs a credit card for security. For travel purposes he is a second card holder on one of mine. I am reluctant to let him take it though without me being there. He has applied for his own which has a £500 limit.

I'm also in two minds to get him anything at all. I was quite annoyed last year in fact for quite a few years, he always has an excuse not to get me anything. As he is of an age where this is his choice rather than not being able, part of me feels he needs to realise this is selfish behaviour (he does this to his siblings, but never to girlfriends, friends). Part of me feels this is childish, but what really annoyed me, is last year on holiday for my birthday he got me not even a card. At the airport home, i said i hoped he got something nice for his girlfriend, he said no as there was nothing to buy-we were in Vegas! Only for me to later learn, he got her a designer purse. It's the lie, that really upset me, rather than anything else. I mentioned this and he claimed not to remember the conversation. But on the other hand I think am I being childish? I must stress, i'm sentimental, so when i say present, i'm not bothered about shop bought, but something put together of meaning. So, would you be annoyed by such things or just be a good parent, lol.

I hope to shred today and am going to have a good clean out after watching the last two episodes of damages, lol.

Have a good day everyone and keep going.

Today i am grateful I am able to pay towards my debts and still be able to keep a roof over my head and feed myself as well as my kids every single day.A programme yesterday made me realise, i may be slightly inconvenienced by my previous habits, but that really is all.

    Keep going everyone :T

I would be annoyed too Traveller, it's not respectful of thoughtful :-(

I've had a busy morning, the car seat came and it's fitted and I've cleaned the old one and washed the covers so I can sell it. I've made ciabatta dough, dough for a white loaf and a carrot cake today, as well as vacuuming cleaning the living room and doing some washing! Phew!
I'm off for a sleep now!

You weren't watching Famous, Rich and Hungry were you traveller?

I watched it and it really made me realise how fortunate I am.

If I was you, I would not buy your son a present on principle, as you say he chooses to do presents for friends and girl friend so he is choosing to not get you one :(

Today I am on a school trip and had to break my SFD for a bottle of water as I couldn't find a bottle at home :(

Didn't check in yesterday due to a long day, but it was a SFD and I did tutoring. OH and I decided to split the council tax saving from this month so I paid off another £70 from the ccard. Unfortunately I realised I had missed off a few spends on the ccard so my debt paid amount barely changed. However, I should (fingers crossed) have paid off the ccard by the end of April, two months before the 0% interest rate changes :)

Hope you all have good days
