Another coupla NSD in the bag, so up to 9. I find I'm now making conscious decisions in shops to NOT buy things - even if totally bargainous - so as not to spoil an NSD.

The kitchen is still being sorted, but it is a much cleaner place! I have removed quite a lot to the Sally Army. But we still have sooooo much 'stuff' all through the house.

Got an exercise session in this morning, which felt good - and got it done before my body could wake up and object.

kat, I did wonder about the massive bottles you'd got from tkmaxx! You need to feel good about yourself, so it was definitely money well parted with.

Dd is now allowed to have time with her arm out of the sling. So she used it to climb on the climbing frame and swing on the twizzle swing!! It's best not to look sometimes. Oh, hang on, that's how all this started!!

Kat is that skincare range any good i am currently using al3i products but not having much joy and skin is really bad.

Are you using Aldi products..?... but I have always found Avene affective and got my brother onto it as well.

I like how the words say fo "severe acne" instead of "blemishes" which is not what I am dealing with... even today I am amazed at how well my skin looks and it's only been one night...

I am still using that expensive facewash from January's TKMaxx splurge, Avene's Cleanance K , the TriAcneal and the Cleanance Face Mask. Although I also use Lilylolo which some people find hard to get used to (loose powder foundation) but I would never change now. The longer you wear it over the day the better it looks, it settles really well and you can build up the coverage lightly dependant on how much you need...

    Hope that helps...

My twopenn'eth re skincare involves using water from the kitchen sink to wash, kitchen roll to dry face and neck, and extra virgin olive oil to moisturise. And a salt + oil scrub every so often.

    I'm cheap to keep!

  • I'm really tempted by skincare products at the moment! I have the Aldi serum that won a billion awards but it doesn't seem to do a great deal for me. Quite fancy the LaRochePosay Effaclar Duo stuff that's supposed to do amazing things for blemishes, and they have a 'love it or your money back' deal going on... Trying to wait til my next ValuedOp voucher arrives!

Put the iPhone in the post this morning so awaiting payment for that, had a little cry (pathetic, I know) at realising that I no longer have access to every message the OH has ever sent me - I know they're backed up on my computer so if I get another iPhone in the future they'll be restored, but still doesn't quite make up for it. Paid £7 for postal insurance but that's my only spend for the day.

    Evening all x

Spendy day today as had to buy cat food. Had a good run this morning and ate three proper meals today, also bought some iron supplement so hopefully the combination of the two will make me feel better.

Managed to declutter all my old work suits which are off to the charity shop. I haven't worn any of them for nearly 4 years and they are all a bit too big anyway, kept one for future interviews, funerals, etc and have spoken to a distant relative about getting it altered to fit properly. Now have a very large gap in my wardrobe which won't be filled in the foreseeable future!!

Hope everyone else had a good day x

    Totals are now:
    7/15 SFD's
    £59.59/£100 groceries incl cat food
    7/18 LTW
    0/£40 petrol
    30/30 donations/declutter

My skincare range consists of 2 things:

Baby lotion + Oil of Ugly = Skin like a babys bottom :D

Post nappy change of course ;)

After yesterdays easy success in acquiring vouchers from my street market research, I signed up for on line surveys! Didnt get very far though as I found the demographic questions rather intrusive and alarm bells started ringing about identity fraud, especially since ones account details needs to be revealed :( I know the information is neccessary for selecting target groups but I felt uneasy with it all.. How do you torties rate this way of making a buck or two?

A vvvery sweet friend brought me some clinique skincare products for my birthday a couple of years ago, it was a bit of a curse though as I liked iut and started buying it for myself for a while. I justified my spending by only buying it when they had special offers on and free gifts but haven't bought any for quite a while now, I had flier come through the post in January about a special offer on, I kept the flier for nearly a month and kept on umming and arguing but then threw the flier in the bin. I am quite lucky that I only have the occasional break out with my skin sobteally no need to spend silly money!! You may need to repeat that back to me in moments of weakness along the way.

Have had a good day, parked at friends and walked the last mile to work so I didn't have to pay for parking and had the bonus of a cup of tea with her when I collected it this evening. Had my appraisal at work, nothing happens as a result of them anymore but quite nice to have a little praise. Also heard about a training opportunity which I have put myself forward for, they only have 11 places and there are several thousand people within my organisation but more chance of me getting it now I have applied. It could open doors for me where I am and would be good on my CV.

SiannieLaz glad you have realised why your legs were so tiered and are eating more now, iorn supplements sound like a good idea.

Kat glad you enjoyed the training, I often find that discussing things with other attendees is as if not more useful than the course itself but maybe that is a sign the trainers encourage/facilitate good discussions?

I'm a big fan of surveys, but have never had one ask for my account details (assuming you mean bank details) at sign up - all mine pay through PayPal or vouchers so no need. I'm signed up with OnePoll, MySurvey, and ValuedOpinions, and make on average £1/day (that's calculated over every single day this year so far including the ones where I'm away and do absolutely no surveys).
