Hi all.
Buffy, Tiptoes, I'm sorry you will not be able to continue this month.I wish you both well and hope to see you on here again soon
Mothernerd-You never bore anyone, if anything, I think we are all amazed at how you bounce back, no matter what the situation. Please look after yourself though.
Well, today has been a nsd. I need to do exercise and may go and check on my neighbor. I feel quite tired today and dropping off, lol.I'm loving the sunshine though :T Well have a great Sunday everyone and keep going:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Afternoon!
Had a busy day so far. Decluttering the kitchen and rearranged stuff. About to upload some items onto fleabay. Made some rolls for the kids lunches and now sorting out the documents I need for this peer support course I am applying for, they want EVERYTHING so I am having to search for my proof of abode (my parents had to fight to keep me here back in the late 80s when we moved from New Zealand, I was born out there and held an NZ passport) I've got a British passport now but it's not in date :-/
Anyway I digress. SFD number 7 today and I've got some bits sorted for the food bank to hand in tomorrow that I found in a decluttering, unopened shower gels and deodorants.
Feeling proud of this months progress so far. Still, can't wait till pay day when I can pay more off!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Sorry tiptoes you have to leave for a while and you're right family comes first. Hope the crisis resolves soon.
mothernerd that's what were here for. Never worry about ranting. It's good to get it off your chest.
Still no baby, still sick but another SFD. Will update properly tomorrow on the labtop.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Thanks for the kind words everyone -the pain has receded, slept well, had onion soup (everything is better after onion soup) and I feel much calmer and clearer today.
It's amazing how much pain short-circuits your ability to think in a straight line. I spent 10-15 minutes in a panic yesterday because the laptop wasn't charging. I couldn't work out whether the socket/ extension lead/ power cable or computer was at fault (it's warranty runs out in a few days and we have already had a dead screen panic - DS3 looked at in wonderment, saying he'd never actually seen one before. Credit to my filing system- I found the guarantee in less than 3 minutes). So I was going up and down the landing plugging and unplugging, using the hoover to check whether various bits were working, then went in DS3's room to swap for his power cable - luckily he had 1/2 a power cable in his bedside cabinet and that was the non-working bit.
I am having a slow start (being lazy) today. I picked up the packaging and embroidery threads yesterday (and managed to finish embroidering a mother's day card). Today I am clearing the space I need to work whilst making sure that I will still be able to get into bed tonight. DS3's friend isn't coming back to finish the stairs until next weekend,so I've put all the wood under the bed (even that left me out of breath and hungry). If I can do most of the little bedroom and bathroom before then, that will be enough (lots of gardening, cleaning and de-cluttering if I get onfaster than expected). I just want the messy paint bit to be over.
I will go to the doctor's tomorrow -just to check out my leg pain (been going on a long while, not constant but enough) and get anti-histamines as even those few nice days made my hay fever kick in.
Trying to tighten up moneywise, but there isn't a lot I can do. Sent a couple of e-mails about overdue rebates and complained about an in complete delivery. Thinking about trying to do as long as possible using the freezer supplies but worried my diet hasn't been great for the past week -more haste less speed little tortoise. Still have a £2.90 wombled receipt (mum's) and £10 of n*ct8r points. This would mean any available cash could go towards bills but might need a cc super shop when everything runs out if money isn't coming in by then.
Will know more by tomorrow (DS2 should know more). Pressing on with the house is the right thing to do. Logically DS2 could move back in here (or even tighter, DS3 and I could move into little house) and rent 'spare' house to someone else but this is a bit of a non-starter -DS2 and DS3 are still at the 'loathe and detest' stage (I think it's from copying their father's family - nanna had favourites and the siblings still have punch-ups whenever they are together-my ex is 65 now).
Just before DS2 moved into the little house,we had a situation where I ended up standing between the two of them thinking this is where I die. DS3 didn't want to fight but was no longer prepared to back away from confrontation (he was badly bullied at school but now towers over most of the bullies -he doesn't start fights but he can end them). He had walked away but DS2 followed him and a punch from either of them would have felled me.
Will have to start listing anything anyone might buy - there isn't a lot.
Ah well let's not borrow trouble. I'm warm, comfortable, well-fed, not in pain, I have a good book to read and I might treat myself to a hot bath - can life get any better. Oh a NSD today and yesterday.:rotfl:My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Tiptoes - I hope your family matters get sorted soon.
Come on baby thrifty - get your skates on.
mothernerd - onwards and upwards.
A SFD here today and another day of exercise. Due to me not shifting any weight I have taken up running again (running is stretching it a bit) I am jogging then walking fast and so on, yesterday was the first session and me and DH did 20 minutes then 20 minutes cycling straight after, today we did the same. The wind is quite bad here and that made everything harder.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I am here I promise. Work is just a little too busy with too many people milling around for me to settle and read / reply to posts. Got SO much to do tomorrow after work but will be home by midnight and up at 0500 so might be a zombie...
Get eBaying..Free listing until Tuesday midnight... I am putting on what I class as my expensive items tomorrow. They are only worth what people are willing to pay right? .. so I need to get listing.....and I need to downsize everything...
Hope everyone is well...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. I've made it into double figures for NSDs - yippee. Number 10 under my belt now.
Also got in an exercise session, so am up to 7 there. Would have liked it to be higher, but with dd's exploits, some things had to go on the back burner.
We did church this morning and dd had a great time at Kids Klub, then home for a picnic lunch in the garden, all sitting in the sunshine. Dd's reading is coming on to the extent that she barely needs us sometimes now, which is good! We also did a jigsaw and dice game together. The clothes mostly dried outside and we've had a 'pillow cull'. We do seem to get through them quickly - not sure what we're doing wrong. Or maybe they're cheap....!
I am finding being a tortoise this month rather restful and it does remove a lot of the stress of trying to achieve things. That said, my kitchen is 3/4 sorted and cleaned with some stuff going to the Sally Army, some to freegle. I don't have a bay of e account and have decided that I'd prefer the Sally Army to have my 'gains'. I'm fortunate not to need that money myself.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
