Wow Apple muncher I need a mamouth sleep like that, feeling very tiered this morning after a lovely but very active and long weekend. My youngest is still fast asleep but will have to wake him soon or we'll be late for school. Eldest has an afterschool club today (one of three free after school clubs he goes to each week now) and youngest finishes at 11.30, want to be super productive this morning so me and him can get out and enjoy the weather this afternoon, it is my only day this week I'm not working so need to get lots done but also want to enjoy DS2's company, he starts full time in September so our time together alone is numbered
Hoping for a SFD and some de-cluttering and an exercise as I am running with the club later.
I transferred some money when I got paid into a savings account hoping I could use it as a small extra payment t the debt, panicked when I discovered DH had a couple of extra debts totaling about £150 which weren't. Included in my signature that I would have to use it for that instead but paid those from the main account and although we certainly won't have any spare this month going to have one last look at the figures this morning and hopefully bite the bullet and pay it. It will take me to 10% paid which feels so much nicer than 8.?%
Anyway best get on.

mothernerd - you really do achieve such a lot every day.
thriftylass - hope you are on the mend soon.
Yesterday should have been a SFD but wasn't as DH decided we needed a box of cornettos in the afternoon, only £1 though. Today won't be a SFD either as the grocery order is being delivered.
Already been out on my bike for half an hour, will be starting work in a minute then I will take the dog out for an hour before the school run. DD has asked if we can go cycling after tea so I may get another half an hour in then it just depends on the light really. If we do that will be 1 hour cycling and 1 hour and 40 minutes walking including school run - phew.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Managed to spend most of today out in the sun, had an abortive run this morning as DD shouted 'poo poo' after only half a mile, so ran home quickly only to discover she was fibbing! I don't think she likes it when we go for long runsI've got one of those posh three wheeler prams (out of a skip!) which my cousin cleans and maintains for me but I don't think she likes sitting down for longer than 10 mins. I'm running a half marathon at the end of the month but so far my training is not going to plan at all, so am starting to get a bit nervous about it. Spent the rest of the day digging my auntie's veg patch so am feeling sore but pleased with myself. Wasn't a SFD for me today, as popped to local co-*p for a few bits but am still ok to hit budget I think.
Picked up first lot of Avon books today, 40 given out, 29 returned, 1 order! Still, onwards and upwards, will drop my remaining 29 out on Tues when I'm off work, and keep smiling! My Sales leader still hasn't given my any territory so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'm not stepping on anyone's toes.
Totals so far:
5/15 SFD's
£33.99/£100 groceries incl cat food
5/18 LTW
0/£40 petrol
0/30 donations/declutter
Hope everyone has a good start to the week xxx
Get onto your Area Manager as they should give you territory when they sign you up, Avon are notoriously slack in this area and have a high turnover of staff who then give other peoples territory away. It is very annoying at the beginning (and later) as your customers have not built up a relationship with you so don't know what is going on. Territory is not easy money I don't think but when you get established and in a routine you will find it easier. Good Luck.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Afternoon,
Brrrrr it's not so warm today! Just got into bed with the duvet wrapped round me to warm up a bit! Still I have my washing out and I've done some walking today and declaring a SFD already.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
My eldest son is 8 and seems to be catching the running bug, he does cross country club after school on a Friday and is currently very keen to do a park run, he has quite bad asthma (been through a&e resuss with him a dozen times and admitted to hospital 50+ in his short life)so I do worry about him pushing himself too hard but also try not to let his asthma stop him from doing anything it doesn't absolutely have to.
A friend of mine had terribe asthma as a child (had an home ventilator machine that she had to use once in the morning and once before bed), she took up long distance and cross country running as a teenager, and it massively helped her asthma. In fact she grew out of it all together by the end of school and is now running ultra-marathons!
Anyway, I'm checking in to say a couple more SFDs banked and today I have got paid for some of my freelance work and so have made overpayments to my CCs. I split the money over the two cards, mostly becasue I wanted to get them both under £2k, which they now are. The numbers seem so small! And it felt so good to do that.

Good afternoon torties.
Sorry about the lack of check-ins but work is very hectic over the past few days so I have kept falling asleep whilst trying to catch up with all the posts (not that it is boring, it's just cause I am no longer standing, thank goodness I never got the chance to sit down at work eh).
As a result, I have four spend-free days to add to my total. (three due to work and one for today).
:j
So, happily that brings me up to 7/20.
Diet is going rather well. It is a starve day today which is why I know it will be a spend-free day (not going to risk getting the urge to splurge).
Wow thrifylass... can't believe you are still so active despite the baby only being a week away!!!! I have always imagined women being sofa-bound for the last couple of weeks.
In great news for us: We have about 300 euros for our holiday to Barcelona in April!!
:j
Hope everyone is doing okay. Keep plodding on torties.

Hello Torties..... late check in for me. Been researching ways and means of getting the Moggy to Northern Ireland. Post # 189 will give you a run through but after BA told me they wanted £800 for frieght my poor cat with the cargop and FlyBe wanted £318 I scoffed at them both and went searching Stena Line - and boy am I glad I did!!! I am literally SO happy and will be taking mog home on foot by Ferry on the 1st October 2014.... bye bye London!!!
Mothernerd what a day/weekend you had! I am impressed - you are clearly a woman who know how to get things done!!!
Thrifty no baby yet...? I am getting impatient to know what it is...:T:T:T
Stewby so glad you have euros to keep you happy on Holiday - well done for planning this ahead. How long are you going for?..
Did I mention Mummy NSK is coming to London for my birthday :jin April - we are going to rummage in some charity shops!!! Am tempted to do a swap with them - I need a few new items of clothing so will donate some items I can't sell on eBay - do you think they would go for that???
MrsGSR well done on your SFD. Do you switch off the heating if it's just you in the house? I would to be honest...
Clippy are you a comper...?? (sorry to hear about your back though) - I have been recommended to Loquax by a lurker on NSK BookFace and am going to get me some goodies and although the luck of the Irish didn't stretch to me in any shape or form I am a trier... how many do you enter a day/week?

Thanks for this karmachilovething, I have heard that exercise can help and do encourage it it is more that he sometimes tries to ignore his asthma if he feels it is stopping him from doing something he wants to which obviously isn't great but t least at a park run I could be with him keeping an eye and enforcing the use of his inhaler if necessary.
I am going to declare a SFD now and add it to my signature in a minute - this will stop me making any unnecessary trips to the shops this evening - WE DO NOT NEED ANYTHING!!
I have had a good day, good tidy around this morning, all bedding washed and dried on the line, pid the money I had squirreled off the CC and have gone over 10% paid back which feels goodTook DS2 to the kiddy theme park with our season tickets with a packed lunch. Both the boys have just had a roast for tea, was home too late yesterday to get it done in time for them so plated theirs up last night and popped in the fridge fr today. Me and DH have pizza leftover from Saturday but I won't be eating until late as going out for a run in a bit.
Need to get a frame and some cushion inners tomorrow whilst I am in town for work to create birthday presents for people so won't be SF so may pick up some packed lunches bits as well in the hope I then will have a few more SF days this week.Debt as at January 2014 £13,546.84Current £11,485.15 - 15.42% paid - moving in the right directionDebt free date [STRIKE]Jan 2016 Dec 2015[/STRIKE] Nov 2015MMH 35 - SFD 8/15 FB 266.46/240 T-O 0/0 donation 3/£3 LTW 8/10 exercise 12/12 neighbour favour? Stewby on the day I started labouring with DS I dropped DD and pre school and cleaned the entire house, I was determined to get things moving! Also many women get a burst of energy just before birth and become obsessed with cleaning. However lying on the sofa was done A LOT first time around!
NSK- it is me and DS around in the day, when it was colder I generally kept one room heated but I've turned off a few radiators completely now. We have a timer so I heat the house in the morning, after school and at bath time.
I've been super busy today with vacuuming and steaming floors, washing and baking. Also I have banned electronic device time for both kids during the week and apart from an after school meltdown from DD they have been a lot calmer, so I've just sneaked up to my room for a minute to catch up on here! Haha! Its been good for me too as have got loads done!
Hoping tomorrow will be a SFD too, I have some items for post though and need to buy packaging for them but I will save for Wednesday which is becoming designated spend day now.
Might pop on later, hope everyone is okSquirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0
