    Morning everyone

Cold healing vibes for Kaz and JTTOU. Dancemum, must be awful for you, at least you rang the police otherwise how much longer would he have been there? Hope the decorating goes well Deco.

Mummyof5, its a tough one. I remember some years ago getting annoyed with school because they didnt want my son to take part in a sponsored walk. He wanted to do it, I was insisting that he would be OK - and he wasnt. He became so ill that they had to get the St Johns Ambulance volunteers to look after him while I went and picked him up. Its a hard judgement for school sometimes, but as a parent you just want them to be able to do the same things as everyone else.

Right, off to help parents shift some garden rubbish this morning so I had better get moving. Have a good day everyone x

    Good morning all

Beautiful sunny day here: we had a heavy frost overnight so it looks as if the fields are covered in snow and everything is sparkling. Mrs Blackbird has been down for some mossy bits from our garden to add to her nest. I must go and put some mealworms out for her and break the ice on the birds' water, as soon as I've finished typing this.

Hope you got some sleep last night, JTTOU. You've reminded me that I wanted to get some new pillows - they're on special offer at @ld! from tomorrow.

My shoulder is still painful so I will have to ask DH to hoover for me today, but I'll manage the dusting with my duster-onner-stick . My study is the untidiest room in the house :o

Have a good day, Flyladies. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to everyone who needs them.

    Morning all

Mummyyof5 - I'm no teacher but have been on oodles of primary school trips. It is a huge responsibility and the ratio you gave is 1 to 5 - if a child takes all attention of one staff member for any reason/incident that ratio changes to over 1- 6. A judgement needs to be made on the safety of everybody. I would expect that the school have not taken the incident in isolation but on knowing him as a pupil. You will feel hurt by this I know and Valli will have a much better understanding. How was your DS about not going? Did he understand that his actions had led to this in anyway?

I need to get my dailies done, have a shower and a good flying session.

No CRB checks needed for parents to listen to kids reading in our schools but it is a tiny village school and everyone knows everyone else far too well....

Just wanted to bend teachers ears if I may..my son has problems at school...currently being tested for ADHD etc..he was naughty on WEd and got told off...he has a very bad temper so said he was gong to run away from school and walk home...about 25 mins on main roads...
due to him saying this the head refused to take him on the school trip Thursday..they were only out 2 hours at a local gym..20 children went..2 classes and 4 teachers....she said she couldnt gaurantee his safety so he had to stay with reception ..he is 7 and year 2...I think she has over reacted but am I wrong????

    I have flown...a little....
will fly more over the weekend I promise..need to shop first as OH is away again..Amsterdam this time xx

tbh if he couldn't have a 1-2-1 and they couldn't guarantee he wouldn't run off would you want to risk the albeit small possibility he might run off and get lost or hurt??

Would you want that responsibility with a child that was not your own?

As a parent I have been in that situation and it does seem harsh but they have to sure all the children are safe and if 1 of those 4 staff members has to go chasing a runaway child that leaves 4 other children without their group leader.. they don't just have your/our 1 unpredictable child to look after.

If it helps DS3 got better from about 10/11

    Good morning :D (just!)
I have caught up the the thread this week, and even done a little flying around the paid stuff!

This morning I have hoovered LR, DR & hall (properly, not skimmed), washed the throws & cushion covers (in TD now), dusted & de-webbed, & sorted a little paperwork. I need to clear the dining table of my toot & get paperwork ready for this afternoon as I have a mum visiting that wants a full time place for her little girl (kerching!) I also need to find time to do some studying as I am getting behind again :(

Just having a cuppa & a hot cross bun, then I am back to it. I am also resting my knee as I think I have pulled something this morning (not used to this hard work! :A)

I have been productive this morning!

WM x2, stripped remade my bed, reorganised spare room cupboard, flung a few bits, put dry laundry away, tidied spare room, tidied my room. Still want to strip kiddies beds too, although I may do that tomorrow.

I'm tired now, lol, laid on the bed, sun streaming in, might have a nap :D

Lemanie - no I'm on the west coast - but have had some brilliant holidays on the east coast - Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington.

When we lived in Valli-land we used to come to the East coast on holiday, that is how we ended up moving here. We like the West coast too, we have been to Allonby a few times because there is a fab couple with VERY clean and comfortable holiday homes to let. :D

I have made american pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast, tidied round, done the WM shuffle, HHI and am just waiting for DH coming back from dropping DD off at a wedding before going out for a walk in the sunshine. DS2 entire wet and smelly case was sorted, washed and put away last night from his adventure trip, he had a great time.

Nap is not happening, not nappening lol. Phone keeps going. MIL to check what to do with DD not taking her medicine  and then my brother from overseas, although that was a lovely chat.

I feel rather grotty now. Dirty stop out :D

Suppose I'll get up and do something...
