Just a quick update before I go to bed.

Not much done here, DD started being sick last night so was up and down all night. Took dd3 for her swimming lesson (we were late) and did some shopping. Got back about lunch time and boy did the kids let me know it. I didn't even manage to get kettle on before they were asking for something to eat.
Took dd3 to a party from 2-4 while dh worked on the car and dd2 caught up on some sleep.
This evening we have managed tea, 3 loads of washing, 1 in tumble dryer (and back on dd2 bed) and 1 on airer, other will sort in the morning. Must remember to set the dishwasher going for the second time.

Hugs to all that need them x

Mummyyof5-'m guessing your referral is probably to the same hospital as us. They have been great with DS but things do seem to take sooo long. His new moulds for his hearing aids were made a month ago, should have been fitted Thursday but he has an ear infection and the next appointment is april! He will need whole new moulds again by then. DD3 also failed her sight test at school just after Christmas and she will be at the hospital for further tests at the end of the month.

Right better go as dh complaining he wants to go to bed. Will catch up properly tomorrow xx

    free listing weekend on eby

I must learn not to touch buttons on this site, that take you different placs, as I had a job to get back here to normallity, it is scarey over there!

Thank you for always letting us know about Fleabay Freebies - I have stuff I have to list so a free weekend is always welcome. Whether I actually get round to it is another matter. It won't be this one, sadly.

I too have pressed buttons and found myself totally lost, unhappy and bereft. I feel like my best friend has had plastic surgery, botox and a gastric bypass.

I'm having real problems with my new computer's software, my new mouse, my nightmare frog, and my soul is grieving. When I left 'yoof' it felt okay, the menopause was disruptive but survivable - just - but this is different. I really am grieving about this new level of adjustment. I feel bereft, knowing that to stay in touch with the speed of change itself is now going to take up acres and oceans of my time and energy. All I ever wanted from technology was that it made what I had to do easier to do - now just doing that bit it is taking an extraordinary amount of time, energy and effort. I say all of this as someone who started using computers 30 years ago, and who used to install them for small businesses in the early days for a living.

The shower room had a lick and polish, the bathroom got scrubbed, the kitchen got slicked, the lamps and lightshades on the top layer got dusted *cof* and a couple of boxes got turned out. The freezer was stock-checked and menus planned for another week.
    Better is good enough.

Up early this morning because I desperately needed a cuppa. Very disappointed because DH had got up in the night and said as he returned to bed "It's snowing out there" - and it isn't and hasn't  Goodness knows what he thought he saw. I was looking forward to seeing the fields and garden covered in snow - though as we live on a hill I didn't want the roads to be impassable, or even for the snow to hang around for more than a couple of hours!

We had a very pleasant evening last night with some friends who came for a meal with us. I did a roast (easy) preceded by melon (easy) and followed by individual trifles (easy) and cheese and biscuits (easy). There are enough leftovers for our meal today. DH was an :A and helped with the hoovering beforehand, so the house is spick and span apart from the downstairs bedroom.

Now that I'm up, I'll get on with some paperwork. We had hoped to go out for a walk at our local arboretum this afternoon, but the forecast is for heavy rain between 1 and 7 pm so we might have to change our plans.

Sorry to hear you're frustrated by the new technology, Honey Bear. Sometimes I wish we could throw it all away, but then I wouldn't have my Flylady friends

(((Big hugs))) to Mumto5: hope things improve soon.
Get well soon JTTOU and Jazee.
Mummyyof5 - hope your DS gets a proper assessment and whatever support he needs soon.
Well done with the wallpapering, deco :T
    Lovely photos, pigpen!
Hope you got your whisky, Lame Wolf ;)

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all as needed.
I'll tackle a tadpole now before it grows legs.

They look absolutely full of life and laughter, Pigpen. Delightful.

I wouldn't be without it for the world, Ionafan. It used to be my greatest peaceful pleasure. Whenever I was tense I'd go into the office, sit down, surf, read, research and work. My Flylady friends are a great source of laughter, fun and company, as well as helping me to achieve things that two years ago were totally beyond me (the HoneyBear Homestead was a bit of a midden if I'm honest). My problem is that what used to be pure pleasure is now really hard work and it's difficult to see it getting easier or better. It's a bit of an end of an era for me.

We're off on a mystery weekend away today. One of our besties has organised a surprise birthday celebration for himself - the surprise is for us. All we have is a set of map co-ordinates and a time to be there, with Mrs Dog, and apparently she needs to be kitted out for a water trip. Back tomorrow, hopefully a bit more positive.
    Better is good enough.

    Happy Sunday everyone.
I've been AWOL again this week & the house has suffered for it. It was DD's birthday & so the house is cluttered with cards & gifts & the like.:o I'm going to do a bit today & start afresh tomorrow. I know that if I get in the habit of doing a little bit each day, it will make such a difference.

    This is todays list:
Plant out the flowers I bought last weekend into pots.
Pack up the ebay sellings that end today (5/55 so far selling - not a great result)
Sort our my holiday plan a bit - we're DIYing a road trip & I've lost the plot on what else I need to book and budget for.
    Sort out some paperwork.
    HHI x4
    TD x1
Remove any marks from the walls/paintwork - the magic erasers work well DS has a paper round & his black fingerprints are EVERYWHERE :mad:
Sort out a pile of papers/magazines/catalogues and recylce what you can
Delete some emails, favourites, blurry photos you choose
    Clear the bedroom floor
Sort out the piles and piles of shoes that have accumulated. Surely they cannot all fit DD
10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:

    Afternoon all.
Had lots planned for today, but didn't get up till 9 (was awake ages before, listening to the girls playing, just didn't want to get up).
Put a load in WM emptied airer and reloaded. Fed all kiddies, changed and dressed ds2.
10 mins later ds 2 said 'I think I'm going to be s...' (And he was).
So I'm cleaning him up every few minutes.
So getting things done has gone out of the window. I'm spending the day in my PJ's, cleaning up poorly kiddies and catching up on all the washing from having no washpowder all week. Need to sweep kitchen as dogs decided to shred their bedding over night and it looks like it snowed in there.
Hoping I will be able to make a good go of the list tomorrow.

Hello everyone. I am back to normal today, well as normal as I ever am. DH and I have finished moving stuff around in the kitchen cupboards, lots gone to freecycle and charity and the bin. I've hoovered right through to get up most of the dog hairs, have been out with the dogs and am about to put the yorkies in the oven (puddings, not dogs).

One washload about to go on airers, a bit of washing up to do, and then wargames with DH.

    Have a great afternoon everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
