Good [STRIKE]morning[/STRIKE] afternoon all (it was still morning when I started typing!)
DH and I went to AquaFit this morning and quite enjoyed it, so it's in the diary again for next week. The swimsuit was fine and I felt good, though shattered afterwardsTowels and swimwear now in WM.
Our NDN says their cat has gone missing so I have checked in our back garden but found nothing except some more flowers that think that spring is here.
Going to do the ironing now while catching up on a bit of TV. DH is out this afternoon so needs an earlyish lunch - after which I shall be able to fly uninterruptedWe have friends coming to a meal tomorrow evening so I want the place to look good. Fortunately DH is getting quite good about keeping his junk in his garage. He has removed almost everything that belongs to him from the downstairs bedroom, so I hope to get that room tidy again in the next week . Actually, thinking ahead, it might be easier to move stuff out of the utility into the bedroom and get the utility finished first. This renovation has been a juggling act from start to finish, as we have downsized and need every square inch of storage space available.
Off to work - might make :coffee: first. Anyone care to join me?
So sorry to hear about your neighbour, dancemum. You did the right thing.0 -
Dancemum, that's terrible! You did the right thing though!
DH once called the police about a flat with a dead Christmas tree in the window... In MARCH! They found an old lady passed away. I don't know how these things get missed
I've been AWOL this week as DS isn't sleeping well as neither is the baby
I'm a zombie! No sleep most of the night ad then DS wants to get up at 5am.

Thanks for those sympathising. We spent about £200 last month and despite paying £150 a month we still owe £120. At least by next winter I'll have a huge credit. Not sure how to reduce it thoughHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Just having a catch up, sorry if I've missed anything.
MummyR- Ours is huge. We were sat yesterday morning when we got back from school watching the energy monitor, There seemed to be nothing on and it was still reading £10 a month. I'm in on my own now with nothing different exept the tv on and it's reading £26 a month, most of the time when the kids are home we can end up with 3 TV's on! Our gas and elec combined is about £190 but haven't had a bill since sep so no idea what debt/credit we are in despite submitting readings every few weeks.
Dancemum- How upsetting, hope your feeling ok. It's so sad when it happens and theres no friends or family to realise sooner xx
I've spent ages sweeping the LR today, cant believe how many little pieces of sylvanian families/plastic kitchen sets/crayons/scrap paper I have had to pick up. The only thing I have refused to pick up is DH things, there is 11 socks on the floor (no idea where the other is) a work top and his trainers. If the kids can put there washing in the basket, I'm sure he can too, so when he runs out he might just move them.
Need to put loads of clean washing away. I have a washing pile like mount Everest, must fetch some wash powder! Need to sort the dishwasher too. Once DH is up i'll make a start on the bedrooms from yesterday (wont be stripping them until I've been shopping though).LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Friday - End of week roundup Thanks Dusty, I think you must be a mind reader, I did all of the list yesterday and then went for a walk round the marine drive in the sunshine, lovely
[STRIKE]Hoover anywhere not done or that needs redoing
Change any bedding left to do
Empty all the bins
Dust tv screens and anywhere you've missed
Wipe some paintwork
Spot clean a carpet rug
Wash throws or cusions[/STRIKE]
Make sure all the stuff you have sorted out to get rid of leaves the house, trip out to the CS, recycling etc
[STRIKE]Have some me time - you deserve it[/STRIKE]
Well done mummyroysof3, I'm starting my level 3s this year and going to go a bit slower, I love it, keeps me sane (ish:o). Apparently we use much more gas and elec than similar houses but trying to reduce it seems not to help, already doing all MS things
That must have been a shock Dancemum, good job you phoned.Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

Hi all
Hope you've had a nice half term - those who have had half term this week
I love the way the list has been done this week Dusty, thank you
I'm a bit late with it again this week - I must learn to make time to properly join in especially as right now my house is completely upside down! We are changing our bedrooms around and they really are a tip so it's decluttering before we can do anything, also our parents have moved, (both maternal and paternal), and as a result we have accumulated their unwanted bits and pieces including a bed that is currently sitting in our living room! We are grateful though because it will replace our son's broken one
I have stuff to do in the kitchen to give it a basic tidy but need to go work on one of the bedrooms - the sooner I can clear that the quicker other stuff can be out in their correct homes
I'm looking forward to joining you here on a regular basis - goodness knows I need it!
Have a lovely day

Money remaining for food this week thank goodness!
Pixie being very clingy today.. I wonder if it is tooth number 2 coming through.
Finished the hard work part of knitting so Dots top is 1/4 done.. oooh there is a pattern in the wool shop I want for DD1.. I'll get the number and source it online for when I have finished this one.. We are doing as many homemade gifts as possible this year to try to clear wool/fabric stash and save some money!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi all
Just had a hh pickup and put away. Reasonable now. Kiddies are away to grandparents :T I'm meeting friends later. One friend who I was sharing a lift with can't come though, so I need to rearrange myself to get there. Do I drive now or bus it or splash out on a taxi to myself? Maybe bus there and cab home... Hmm.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to all the beds and do some decluttering.
I don't think we do too bad for gas and electricity here but then there is just me and 2 small people so fewer gadgets, rarely tumble dry and use Eco wash settings. We're also very well insulated. I pay about £100 a month combined and were are usually a little in credit.
One thing I was told about was halogen lighting - we have lots of these downstairs and a sparky warned me they were costly to run, especially when you factor in how many (my LR has 8 bulbs in he ceiling fitting and 2 in each of 2 wall fittings) so good job I like to watch tv in the dark.
I also have a contraption behind the tv that switches everything off standby when the tv is turned off and I always switch the electric oven off at the wall (mostly in case the kids knock one of the dials).
Even down to only boiling the amount I need in the kettle rather than filling it.
