  • Morning all - late as overslept again after second night of the lurgy. Feeling worse today but have managed to complete all my money moving things in record time this morning. Minor panic about cc bill as thought they were taking too much out but I was remembering the previous one!! No hope is there!!

    Flying
    Friday - End of week roundup
    Basic Flying
    Hoover anywhere not done or that needs redoing
    Change any bedding left to do
    Empty all the bins
    Dust tv screens and anywhere you've missed
    Deep Cleaning
    Wipe some paintwork
    Spot clean a carpet rug
    Wash throws or cusions

    Decluttering
    Make sure all the stuff you have sorted out to get rid of leaves the house, trip out to the CS, recycling etc
    Have some me time - you deserve it

    Need to add kitchen floor to list and HHI as didn't get done yesterday because of cooking teas earlier than usual.

    DH usually does cooking as it is dangerous for me to burn myself and that makes me nervous. Think I might invest in some of those silicone gauntlets as had forgotten how much I enjoy it - and I have time now too.

    Have a good day everyone. If the sun shines might also add HHE onto list at lunchtime.

  • Anyone else shocked at how much gas and electric they use? Hubby is sure we must use more than anyone else

    It's funny you mentioned this; I text DH the meter readings yesterday and he submitted them online. Apparently we use much less than the average household of this size and our gas AND elec was only £300 for the previous 3 months! And we're only on Eon's standard tariff as our fixed deal ended in October and DH didn't change it :eek: Suffice it to say, I have shopped around and we are in the process of switching now, if the c00p ever get their act together.

    Much calmer day in the offing today, thank goodness. Paid stuff for 2 hours, home to get stuck into flying, NO drive to Wales to collect DD as their Dad is taking DS1 to That London for the weekend so he's collecting him straight after school and he's dropping DD off then. Then we'll collect DS2 and head to the supermarket for weekend goodies.

    Me: What do you fancy for dinner tonight?
    DS2 (8yo): Smoked Salmon with honey and mustard dressing, and some crusty brown bread.

    Makes a pleasant change from;
    Me: What do you fancy for dinner tonight?
    DSD (15yo): Nuggets.

    Hi thanks, I'm happy to help, it's not the actual school committee, if for after school club. So quarterly meetings and all they want me to do is email agenda to members and set meeting dates, the club manager will take minutes etc. I've told them I have no experience and they said not to worry its just to satisfy ofsted that they have enough members. We'll see how it goes.

    No snow here, feels too warm although a lot of fog around

    <goes off to check forecast>

    WM on, might pop out to a pals for coffee, other than that I need to do a lot of picking up...

    Hello all :). Weather here is meh :(. DD has a sleep on board with cadets this weekend. She's learning piping!
    House is a bogging dump :o. I'm shattered as didn't sleep well last night. My legs and feet were so cold that every time I moved I woke myself up by touching the other leg/foot!
    Nuff complaining...
    Have told DS that he is cleaning the bathroom today after school. It's a bit minging and the toilet seat appears to be covered in his wee so he can do it!
    Am out at a cube challenge day on Sunday for cubs. It's a district event and the kids loved it last year :).
    Am just going to look at the list and delete anything I think I may have done. I will then potter through the rest of the list as able. Think I may need a quick nap though *yawn!

    ETA: Don't have an airing cupboard :). MiL took all the charity stuff with her on Tuesday. She says she goes there all the time so can take it when he goes. Tools are STILL all over the living room floor!
    Must hunt down a paint tray and roller handle as I have a sleeve so can crack on and paint the utility and downstairs loo in the next couple of weeks. The paint in the loo has bubbled for some reason?
