disgusting yappy barking dogs

To be honest, I am offended by andydiysaver's suggestion that posters including myself haven't read the original post before posting advice. I feel the above term can be understood in 2 different ways - as in either never gets outside, or does and spends most of their time indoors.
Indoor cat - cat that does not go out at all.
So OP was very clear about his cats not going out, from his first post. And right in his comments - nothing to be offended about.0 -

indoor cat is exactly that a cat that resides indoors and does not go out.
I have both indoor and outdoors cats.0 -
exactly - pretty much everyone know a definition of "indoor cat"

I chose to tell my boys are mostly inddors as they go out only at weekends, only when I walk them to the garden and then walk them back to the flats.
So they are mostly indoors

Are you serious? If the house is in the right area at the right price it is the last thing I would check on.
As it is, I couldn't sleep in one of my bedrooms due to new buyers who were happy to wake up the neighbourhood instead of taking their inbred dog for a walk.
Checking around to see if anyone had a yappy dog 22 years ago, would not have accounted for this particular inbreed as it wasn't born then.
I have reported the noise along with other neighbours and it is a lot quieter. Why do some people have a sense of entitlement? Spoiled as children probably.
Goodness me...
Sorry, but everybody knows it's buyers beware. If the OP hates these dogs as much as he claims he does then it's down to him to investigate and decide for himself whether he's prepared to go forward with the purchase. Funny how he claims the noise is constant now but it was mysteriously quiet when viewing many times before exchange...
Right house in the right area for the right price is the first thing on the checklist, I agree. However beyond that it is down to me to check for leaking taps, inspect any cracks in the ceiling, LISTEN for any loud neighbourly noises etc. It's the biggest purchase I'm ever going to make in my lifetime, why on earth would I not go over it all with a fine toothcomb?
If you want to take the p!ss out of me and ask me "are you serious?" for that then please be my guest! I will continue to do it my way as long as it's with my money
ETA: OP, just to add that if this is not your forever home I would think very carefully before taking this poster's advice of going straight to the council instead of your neighbour. Any registered disputes could make your house very difficult to sell.First home purchased 09/08/2013

Must admit, I'm not a fan of little dogs, the ones I've encountered have been totally untrained in every aspect. My dads girlfriend has a Jack Russell and I actually hate it, it's aggressive as anything totally launches itself off the windows when it sees someone walk past the house, bites your bum when your asleep, destroys your shoes, will walk past you and bite your toes  and the barking.....an on and on and on for no reason except the wind changed direction.
Buttonmoons surely it isnt the dogs fault it isnt trained? As I have said many many times its the owners who are at fault here not the poor dogs.
I feel sorry for that JR, if you want to "hate" someone then it should be your Dad's girlfriend surely?
Anyone is welcome at my home, and if someone visits that are unsure of dogs then Oliver is taken into another room. Training is an ongoing thing at our house, as it should be in every home that has dogs. xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Another Jack Russell owner here, who has the loveliest, friendliest little pooch imaginable. Doesn't bark or whine unless he thinks there is someone at the back door - they he just lets us know. Definitely isn't yappy. I have full sympathy for the OP but can assure you not ALL small dogs are yappy and snappy and I offended at the suggestion that they ALL ARE!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Oh totally she hasn't trained it, it is her fault it's like that - but I find it a lot harder to hate her as she doesn't bite my bum

Ive told her before the dogs not trained and maybe she should try it but they live out in the sticks not even sure if there is dog socialising places near there.
I just walked a german shepherd puppy today who barked at everything because hes scared - he was mouthing at my hands but not my bum *phew*
Im more of a cat person
I'd probably never get a dog as they do require a lot of input and training, and i realise myself, that I'd not have the time for that.chris_n_tj wrote: »Buttonmoons surely it isnt the dogs fault it isnt trained? As I have said many many times its the owners who are at fault here not the poor dogs.

Could be worse.
A friend of mine was going out with a girl who lived on a farm. She had a pet cockerel
He was on the job and the cockerel jumped on his arris sinking its claws in!0 -
That problem with any noise like this is that it can drive people to distraction. Which mean they be come unhindge after loosing sleep, and after that they can do anything.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0
