i haven't even started to check through what dividends i should have received... and am really unsure whether to hope that iii will be a decent organisation once the rush of new clients from HL have been absorbed effectively. or whether to leg it.:undecided

All I can say is that in a year with them they haven't improved at all, in fact they just got worse. If all you have is shares, you will probably be ok, but if you hold funds and inc. funds at that, be prepared to wait weeks or months for your dividends. Some goes with secure message, it not unusual for me to spend two weeks waiting for a reply from them.

Ahh and don't bother with complaints since they don't even reply to those, it's been 10 weeks since my last complaint and no reply no message in writing or anything else. Not that I was expecting them to reply.

Interesting thread! I've been with them sometime and never even considered there were any problems. I place three deposits and perform less than a dozen trades a year for funds. No complaints at all from me.

You are extremely lucky. We who joined them - and left them - this year, have known nothing but grief.

in my SIPP i have a fund...a 'growth' fund i suppose, Marlborough Special Situations. in my ISA i have 7 direct company holdings and 2 funds: a Gold fund and an Agriculature fund. and i have 2 share holdings outside of either wrapper..

where do i start working out what dividends i should have received, to check up on them, i wonder.

i did like the idea of having both SIPP and ISA with them & effectively paying charges on the SIPP and then having reduced charges on my ISA..

and if i were to transfer out, to where? i nearly went The Share Centre instead, back in February. easy to say i know, i want a reliable, safe service. but i also want a 'good deal'.:A

That's my problem as well. My next cheapest platform is iWeb, if I moved there I'd be paying around £80 extra per year. Things aren't so bad at II that I'm willing to pay that much more.

interesting masonic. are you holding both funds and shares at III, with ISA and SIPP too? can we be sure enough that dividends will arrive in our ISAs/SIPPs/TradingAccounts?

I don't have a SIPP (anywhere), just an ISA. I'm holding both funds and shares (ETFs/ITs) and all of my funds are accumulation, so I only receive dividends on the shares. So far I've only had one hiccup with dividend payments, which was for VUSA and seems to be related to the fact it is paid out in USD - I received that a little over 2 weeks late, but all the others have been on time.

I'm keeping an eye on dividend payment dates and checking which ones I've received periodically.

I will be paying an extra £120 a year with Aj Bell, but it's totally worth it in my case, it costs me more than that in time chasing up dividends and checking everything they do, because I don't trust them.

I would rather pay the £120 extra with AJ Bell than have the turmoil that II have put me through. The worst thing is is that they don't seem to care.

In this case Cheap price = rubbish service.
