    My distribution was only four days late this month so a definite improvement but a relative tells me that a fund formerly paying on time is now very late.........

    Got to say that all the dividends due in September have now been paid.

    Honestly, well done for finding this thread and asking a question. You’re already doing more research to find a good broker than I did..!
    In all fairness, in January, when I made my inquiries, there was little or no criticisms to be found on the web, apart from a bit from last year when they put some prices up.
    I, like others spent a long time researching, emailing, speaking on the phone to these clowns and was totally conned by them.
    Next time, I will wait for planteria to do the work and then follow him. ;)

    Perhaps the problems some people have found have arisen from the large number of people transferring in specie, something that would have been relatively rare before the start of this year. Previously there would have been no need for automated systems, this year the manual systems could well have been swamped.

    I suggest people wait a while before all jumping ship to some other supplier causing another set of problems.

    People can see my posting recording and judge whether I am an iii spy. I currently hold portfolios with BestInvest, iii, Youinvest, and Fidelity and previously with Stocktrade some dating back over 10 years and in terms of service I find little difference. I have had very few problems with any of them and any I have had have been fixed quickly with curteous and knowledgable support from the help desks.

    @Linton

    All I can say is that you have been immensely fortunate. I am trying my best to hang on in the hope that eventually things settle down, but never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined encountering such woeful incompetence from a financial institution, and I have dealt with/do deal with quite a number of them. One could forgive the odd slip up bearing in mind the number of people transferring due to the RDR, but nothing of this magnitude. You honestly cannot imagine what it has been like. We are all reasonable people on here who have done our best to remain patient and understanding under the circumstances, but it has gone way beyond what could be considered acceptable and we are completely at the end of our tether.
  • it seems II have now transferred my cash isa from natwest, my isa says cash available but it says only £50 available to invest, any idea why?

    Knowing what I know now, I would have never touched II if I have known what they are like, but now I'm stuck with them, until I can get the transfer out sorted.

    to where??

    That is sensible but they have lost me due to extremely poor customer service - service that claims that 10 working days is an acceptable time in which to credit dividend payments and thats not 10 working days from the dividend pay date.

    Again trying to be fair I think, maybe, the problems aren't just with II.
    It seems to me that a great many finance institutions were taken by surprise with the sheer volume of in specie transfers.
    A little bird tells me that II alone have had over ten thousand in specie transfers to process.
    And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my own transfer completes soon.
