it seems II have now transferred my cash isa from natwest, my isa says cash available but it says only £50 available to invest, any idea why?
That probably is cash from an incentive ad has nothing to do with your transfer.

the cash balance is the exact same amount as my isa ( £17k) however It says only £53 to invest available

OK, then I suggest that they have received a cheque and will not let you use the money until it clears ... even though a buy deal will not settle for five days.
But, hey, this is III that we are speaking about.

Perhaps the problems some people have found have arisen from the large number of people transferring in specie, something that would have been relatively rare before the start of this year. Previously there would have been no need for automated systems, this year the manual systems could well have been swamped.

I suggest people wait a while before all jumping ship to some other supplier causing another set of problems.

People can see my posting recording and judge whether I am an iii spy. I currently hold portfolios with BestInvest, iii, Youinvest, and Fidelity and previously with Stocktrade some dating back over 10 years and in terms of service I find little difference. I have had very few problems with any of them and any I have had have been fixed quickly with curteous and knowledgable support from the help desks.

Its all very well for you to say this, but other people are having problems. I'm retired and rely on the dividends to form part of my monthly income and late payment is causing me inconvenience. I don't see how this is connected with the number of transfers taking place. Do you take income from funds?

Their support has been totally ineffective for me, both during my transfer in and now with the non-payment of dividends. They bluster, are economic with the truth and have done nothing whatsover to solve the problems both during the transfer and now with income. In one moment of honesty they admitted they couldn't tell me when their transfer department would get round to performing an action. I have never got past first line support to talk to the relevant back office staff.

I also moved my SIPP from HL to ATS earlier this year and the contrast could not be greater. There were a couple of major !!!!-ups (at HL's end) but when the ATS support determined they couldn't solve the problems themselves on both occasions passed me to the back office staff dealing with the matter, who kept me up to date with progress by phone/email.

On the 18th September I decided that enough was enough as for as II was concerned. I opened an account with AJ Bell Youinvest and authorised them to arrange a transfer in from II for both my trading and ISA accounts. Today I find that all my funds have now been transferred and are showing in my AJ Bell account (32 funds) :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Looks like in-specie transfers out of Interactive Investor are just as painful as in.

Today I contacted ii who were under the impression that I was transferring into them and not out.

    Good lord.

I Finally got my £120 incentive, it only took 20 secure messages, 3 phone calls, 2 official complaints and a formal complaint with the FOS, and nine months. YAY!

Mine got credited sometime in the last few days - I haven't been on there for a week or so. I've never chased for it TBH, so it may be that this was always the timetable ?

Can the £120 be used to cover the cost of extra trades in my SIPP and/or ISA account ?

Also, does anyone know when the switch to clean funds is supposed to be happening. I thought it was "by October" but perhaps this was supposed to be "in October".

I doubt very much the switch will happen in October unless it's October 2015 (or 2016??).
I'm sure there is a post on this thread mentioning that II themselves think it won't be October this year....
  • Their Q&A says:

We will begin automatically converting your existing funds to the equivalent clean class fund between April 2014 and October 2014 and as they become available

I suppose the weasel word in that is "begin"
