It is clear that they are having trouble producing these vouchers - see my previous.

I only have ISA with them, so don't get a CTV, but it was apparently in the course of preparing the CTVs that the confusion on my statements occurred!
  • Still no tax voucher!! This shower of the company is doing my head in. Message sent.

This was II's reply when I chased this up today.

' We are sorry you have not yet received your Consolidated Tax Voucher (CTV). I have been assured that they will be uploaded onto accounts this week. Due to the number we have to upload, they are being released in batches I therefore cannot advised if it will be today/tomorrow the CTV will appear however, it should be showing by close of business on Friday.'

Haha I wouldn't hold your breath!! Although I am in shock that all my dividends for September have been received as of today!! There is still the matter of the missing tax reclaim that should have been paid in August, regarding which they continue to send me nonsensical messages....

And then the laborious process will begin of checking them and trying to sort out the no doubt numerous mistakes......

I was promised the Consolidated Tax Voucher by the end of this week. Past 2pm on Friday now and nothing yet...
The Consolidated Tax Voucher (CTV) will be available from your account as some point this week. Our Operations Team are working on completing their final data checks and will credit the CTV to your account as soon as possible.

Quite annoying having to wait so long. I'll be due a tax rebate and I think this is the latest i've ever submitted my self assessment return!

I didn't wait for it, I worked it out myself months ago. I don't see why I should have to wait for my tax rebate due to III's ineptitude. Luckily I don't have very many holdings in my trading account, most are in my SIPP and ISA.

I won't get a tax voucher from them because the payment I am querying is held in my ISA so doesn't need to be reported to HMRC. I have asked them for a breakdown of what proportion of the payment was interest and what proportion was equalisation, which they gave me today, although it doesn't make sense according to the point during the accounting period at which I made the purchase. Tax appears to have been deducted but they say they won't reclaim it. The amount is small and not worth quibbling over but the principle is important because my plan was to sell the rest of my holding in my trading account and repurchase within my ISA in the new tax year. That will be worth a lot more.
It's interesting to review some of the old discussion about Group II units from almost a year ago. It looks as though my FOS complaint is going to conclude with II taking exactly the same position it has done previously with others: that the interest part of a Group II unit distribution is paid gross (which is clearly not true, or BR taxpayers holding in a trading account would have an unsatisfied income tax liability). So I have pointed this fact out to the adjudicator, but have quite a generous compensation offer on the table, so it does not seem worth continuing to drag this out over what will amount to a small sum.
