  • No CTV's have landed in both mine and my wife's account.

I had previously raised a secure message to be told that:

CTV's would be available by end of Sep and then
CTV's would be available by 5th Oct

They didn't even bother replying to my wife's secure message.

    They are really pants!

Any alternatives (fixed annual fee) for SIPP/ISA and a trading account?

I found a CTV in my document library. It was posted on 16 October and the description is "Tax Year (07-Apr-2014 to 06-Apr-2015)" (sic). The actual PDF says "06-May-2014 to 05-May-2015" (sic).

Interestingly, the CTV only lists dividends from my SIPP and not my trading account. I'm not sure if they will post another CTV for the trading account or if they took the dividends from the wrong account...

CTV for trading account has now appeared!
    Born to shop;)
  • I have never in my life received such a complicated and confusing tax certificate. How do they manage it? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.....

And why are they saying that no rebated trail commission payments were made nor tax paid on them when quite clearly there were?!?!

Thanks Fenella, as usual this thread gives me more up to date information than waiting for the promised message from II…

Like Julia’s CTV, II forgot to include the trail commission payments on mine too, but other than that it was correct. I did my tax return last night and it was no big deal to look up the commission payments. But I can see that it could catch some out, especially if someone else does your tax return for you.

If its any consolation Julia, it’s not the worst tax certificate I’ve ever seen. I helped a friend do her tax return a while ago, and the CTV she’d been sent by her discretionary fund manager was 40 pages total financial gobbledygook which I think would have made even Stephen Hawking blow a fuse..!

Now, I wonder when our rebate statements will arrive..?!

I complained about lack of CTV about a week ago and got an answer last night saying CTV was now in the doc library.

It came with explanation that "... sometimes other areas of the business may take priority and we may not be able to produce these as quickly as we would have expected." I can't make my mind up whether that is refreshingly honest or the most pathetic excuse ever as basically saying we couldn't be bothered.

    However it is not correct:-
    1) The file is titled Tax Year Consolidated Tax Voucher - Tax Year (07-Apr-2014 to 06-Apr-2015), the wrong dates. The text inside the document is correct.
    2) The file could not be opened in windows 8.1/IE as it had no file type. If you get this rename it with ".pdf" on the end and it will be recognised as a pdf.
    3) The Quarterly Fund Rebate Credit which is taxable income is not included.

ok the first 2 aren't crucial, but you'd think they would have it perfect after taking all this time.

On my CTV they have included "equalisation" payments for holdings purchased 4 years ago!!! I understand that the production of CTV was outsourced by II. Who are these clowns!

The terms 'perfect' and 'Interactive Investor' are mutually incompatible.....

I'm surprised they were even able to differentiate between income and equalisation. In my FOS case regarding a tax reclaim, II told the adjudicator that it "is not able to provide the information" (the split between net income and equalisation). Fortunately, they were able to provide the £150 I was awarded in compensation, which hit my bank account this morning.

I have done a daring thing (I can hear the chorus of "You'll be sorry...."). Thinking of changing my user name to "Living Dangerously"

Despite an on going complaint about the dog's dinner made of my ISA statement (even though in my favour to the extent that I appear to have received money to which I was not entitled.....), I have asked II to arrange a transfer of part of a cash ISA ... this might not be too worrying except that it does require the giving of notice....naturally I have made this clear but their (prompt, I must admit) reply refers to a transfer from a broker and contacting that broker again after two weeks.....

I'll keep you all posted and keep remembering that whatever else, II is cheap.........
