Thanks Skinnylatte, I've subscribed to your diary too. :)

Well I just did something proper stupid. In an attempt to sign up to project free tv (I know we're not meant to advertise other websites on here but after this story, it won't seem like an ad) I was asked for card details to verify my whereabouts, not so they could take any money. Like an idiot, I gave the card details. And the next thing I was though to another site which seemed to have me already signed up and wanting to take cash from me. So, I got in a panic and phoned their helpline to unsubscribe. Invalid number. I tried their email. It bounced back.

After all this I was pretty sure this was a scam website so I rung my bank for help. Now my card is cancelled and I will be issued a new one in the next 7 days. Fortunately I just took my holiday money out of the cash machine today so I should be ok.

God do I feel stupid though. The thing is my pals use project free tv so I'm not entirely sure how this happened to me.

I'm now trying to be much more careful online. :o

Well that's my lawnmower advertised online. Let's hope I get a buyer. I'm pondering an email to my local music store about my amp. When I was last in there they said I should email them a pic and some details about it so that's what I'm going to do.

I had a look at how much carpets are selling for and was quite shocked at how cheaply you can buy some carpet online. Mine cost a fair bit of money, it doesn't feel right to flog it for cheap. Think I'll hang onto this for now.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow, hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. How much cheaper would it have been to just look after my teeth when I was young? Lol.

Happy money saving day everyone. :)

That's horrible, I hope they didn't manage to get any money off you. Good that you phoned the bank and got it sorted quickly.

Good luck for the dentist tomorrow - I went yesterday and need a filling :(

Misstara, our lives seem to be in sync, I just had to get a filling too! A replacement for one that just broke. £13. And I have no debit card just now so it had to come out of my holiday cash. Grr. However I have some leeway with the holiday budget as I hardly used any petrol this week so have a full tank to start off with that I didn't account for.

Asparagus, glad I've inspired you to sell your gardening stuff, if you don't use it. No takers for my lawnmower yet except someone offering well below it's value. No thank you!

And yes, I signed up to topcashback and quidco. Fab. :T

I head off today, I'm so excited! It's been a funny old week here, being off work, trying to study but mostly just sitting around bored. I'm looking forward to getting home and seeing my family and pals.

Hope everyone's money saving adventures are going well. :)

Well my mobile phone is playing up in a big way, switching itself off randomly and generally being annoying. Checked the battery which looks swollen...very odd. I phoned EE and they're sending out a new battery. At no expense to me. :j I love it when problems get solved for free!

My holiday is going great, it's fab to see everyone. I think I'll come in a little over budget but I'm trying not to worry about it and just keep doing my best to stay frugal. Lunch tomorrow may end up being a bowl of soup rather than mac and cheese and chips, but no harm there.

    Happy money saving everyone. :)

So, a little over budget turned into £60 over budget. I'm consoling myself with the knowledge that at least I had a budget, I know exactly where the extra got spent and it could have been a lot worse.

I get paid a week on Thursday and need to be extremely frugal until then. I think I have enough food in, just need to pick up some grub for the furry purrball cat and then I'm done with spending this month.

    Roll on payday! :)
