I'm sat here mulling over what a slow business this debt busting can be. I'm so impatient. I'm trying to remind myself that this is about learning new money management skills that will last a lifetime and not about paying all the debt down and then maxing out the credit cards again, like I've done more than once. Hmm.

Anyway, I've made my overpayment for this month to Cap 1 and was thinking I could just rest on my laurels. But no, I need to keep thinking of ideas to make money and bash on with it.

I'm pondering matched betting again. I had a brief fling with this previously and managed to make a few hundred quid that definitely got me out of a scrape or two. There are still loads of free bets I could go for. Trouble is I've forgotten how to do it. :rotfl: For goodness sake. Think I'll spend an hour or three on here today working it out again.

I also still have stuff to sell, despite my selling spree of the last month. I have my amp (though the guitars are gone), it's the right season to sell my lawnmower and I have a carpet that I could try to sell. Need to get onto all of that.

I'm doing some extra work in April that will earn me £90. All good.

So what else? Or maybe that's enough to be getting on with.

Have a fabulous money saving day everyone. :)

I looked up my local hairdressers college today and discovered that I can get a haircut for £6 and an eyebrow wax for £4. :j This means I can get both done for half the price I'd budgeted for just my haircuts. I'm going to try and get booked in for the eyebrows this week while I'm off on holiday.

How much do I love this site for all the good ideas? Thanks Misstara!!

Oh my word and they do a full head hair colour for £12.50. :j

I can't believe this. I can have my hair cut, dyed and brows done for the same price as I'd budgeted for just a hair cut. Wow.

It does make me wonder why I've been frittering my cash away all these years. :o

    Hi ani*fan :hello:

Having a little nosy through your diary after you posted on mine. I know what you mean about being impatient - I just want to get it all paid off, however, I've been in debt for over 10 years now it's not going to suddenly disappear in 3 months no matter how much I want it to! You seem to have lots of good ideas to make some more money :)

Although I got my hair done at the college, I have to say I didn't think to look at eyebrow waxing. It normally costs me 11.00 so I haven't had them done properly for ages. Will definitely have another look at the college website to see how much an eyebrow wax will cost.

    Hi Misstara :hello:

Feel free to browse my diary at your leisure!

Eyebrow waxing feels like such a luxury with all this debt hanging over me and it's really not something I can do myself. I can't handle the pain of plucking! But at £4, how can I resist? :)

    Happy debt busting!
