I am currently a student but moving in with my girlfriend come September and I know I will be doing the shopping. I said if she ever goes can she keep the receipt so I can note down the spending, and she said "every single time? why do you need to know everything you spend?".
I bit my tongue!!
Lol my DH is the expert at getting just what's on the list when shopping, however he tends to buy pre packed instead of loose as he doesn't realise it's cheaper to buy loose usually.
I'm the one who goes in with a list, buys stuff not on the list and forgets something I actually need! I'm the main cook and grocery shopper too
I went into Asd* today with 2 things on my list, ended up buying extras including YS items but had plans for them when I bought them. Then got home and had to ring DH to pick up milk for DS on his way home, forgot to check the fridge before I leftStay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

Annoyingly I have managed to completely wreck my finances AGAIN this month
Therefore need to bow out as no idea what I've spent and only have £4 in my purse to last till Friday week so I won't be buying anything!
I'm stocked up and stuff so I'm not struggling, just mucked up the money side totally
I'm so annoyed at myself, I really need to focus but I know the issue, and it's that I don't really meal plan too much. I used to! So I need to get back on it because I'm only hurting myself.
In other news I've recently forced myself to learn to make bread and I love it:beer: :j And so cheap!

Just a quick update on my spends.
Had as*a delivered this morning after overspending last week on YS I had an underspend this week to make up for it.
This weeks is £40.72 :T

A NSD today. Just got a 4 Pint of milk out of the fridge with yesterday's date on. So annoyed! Hubby must have started using the wrong milk!
Anyway, it smelt ok so we had angel delight after dinner and it might still do for breakfasts in the morning. Our fridge I'd really cold so milk usually keeps really well!
Not sure how else I can use it up tonight!Grocery challenge-

What type of milk? I find the lower the fat content the longer it lasts (so skimmed a lot longer than full-fat). but I've never had to throw away any less than 3 days past it's date when I used to buy full-fat for the family.Cheryl0

Nsd today, and even drove past three supermarkets!
Children had pizza as planned, with enough lo for me to have for lunch tomorrow, but I didn't have the curry - bf and I had a jacket with salad. He was in charge of spuds, and he did three, for the two of us?!! Muppet! Spare one's in the fridge for whenever.
Dd will have the last of the baby corn tomorrow; she's really enjoyed it, so might get some more next weekend.
Must remember to get the sausages out of the freezer for tomorrow! Not feeding bf now until Saturday, so on use up mode for me, with the single portions of this and that in the freezer.
Night all,
