    I've been Money Tipped!
    edited 9 May 2014 at 6:18PM
Had to buy butter today as I seem to have overlooked it on my weekly shop. So need to add £1.99 to my weeks spend (will update sig in a min). :(
I was going to make cakes for a school fayre tomorrow but seeing as I lack pretty much all of the vital ingredients and I'm overspent on this weeks budget I've decided not to bother. Feel a bit tight but bah! It's my money and time not the schools!

Nsd today. Couldn't be bothered to make proper lunch, so just took a pack of porridge to work, along with fruit, but a colleague had made a delicious cake, so I had a slice of that for lunch instead! Porridge saved for another day!

Had pasta bake with salad for dinner, no pudding as not needed. Ch with their dad this weekend, so cheap meals with no puds it is. Desperately trying to free up some freezer space, so I can fit in the a!di rolls for the children's lunches.

    Night all,

    Evening everyone.

Found receipts from yesterday and spends were £23.67 in Morry and £12.23 in Al*i. Couldn't believe it - went in at about 3.30 and the Spec 6 area was completely and absolutely EMPTY

Had HM lasagne with garlic bread and a watercress (YS Morry) and fresh pears salad. It was really good and 2 portions left to freeze. Made oxtail stew in SC today so that's for tea tomorrow with pots and loads of veggies - yum.

Hope you all have a super Saturday

Some spends in Morris*ns yesterday. Was trying to make use of some of the TCB type offers, so got 50p+ worth of bananas, for 25p cashback (if they honour it),they didn't sell Wispa multipack. Also, I couldn't find the fish charghrills on Checkout Smart for free.

    £5.84 to add to sig.

Hoping today can be a NSD, but may need milk.

2 NSD to report (incl today)

1 spend day - had to pick a few bits up for bf and also bought him some squash (£2) and chocolate (£1) - wouldn't usually take these from the grocery budget however he is away a lot between now and the end of August (home for 10 days after this trip but then his longest consecutive time at home after that is 3/4 days) and I am very aware of all the little treats I keep buying him and not accounting for honestly!

Bf left at 5am for his training camp in Alabama so it's just me and bubs for 12 days. I'm using this trip as an opportunity to kick myself in to gear and get back on SW style eating - staying at the parents for 4 days too so will be teaching them all the basics and how the plan works too! We have plenty in; I should be fully stocked for formula and nappies but know where to get the best deal if I need more and I'm using it as an opportunity to use up a big chunk of the contents of our freezer as I keep adding to it but then we rarely fancy some of what is in there so making myself use it up.

Plan is to visit the market on Tuesday before the parents pick me up and stock up on beautiful fresh fruit and veg (current list is apples, bananas, satsumas, cucumber, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, carrots, spring onions, cherry/baby tomatoes and then something like grapes or strawberries) I think I'll spend around £10 and will take a lot of it with me as my contribution to the household.

Over summer we eat lots of fresh grilled/baked meats with salads and more fruits etc so I'm hoping to move to spending half of what I give myself weekly on fresh fruit and veg. Also think I'll move to a weekly budget from next month.

Bf is back just 3days before payday and this will be my first on just SMP so I will be better able to evaluate all my budgets and expenditure

Just bought 11 containers of strawberry yoghurt (onken - 450g each) for £4.18 total. 38p per container! Great addition to my smoothies. I've updated my signature, but I'm definitely going to go over the budget this month.

Any chance of a very quick recipe for the smoked mackerel quichel? I am looking to broaden my culinary horizons soon and start making quiches (I just need to buy a quiche dish first) and would love any tips!! I have made them a couple of times before but it was just cooking for kids when I was a (garcon) au pair in France, so it was more a case of get it done rather than make sure its amazing
