Last night we had Salmon roasted with new potatoes, red onions, beetroot, asparagus and cherry tomatoes with a radish & red onion salad. Really nice considering I am not the biggest fish fan in the world. Dh had a much bigger piece of salmon on his plate but this was plenty for me. After we had some cheese
& biscuits.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Have done the main shop today in Mr Ms and spent £22.40 so a total spend of £133.54/£250. Still need to go to Mr As to get a couple of things that are cheaper there than Mr Ms but that can wait until I go out on Tuesday as it's the opposite direction to Mr Ms!

Wow I've missed a lot! I will flick back and try to catch up a bit.
In the meantime 2 spend days to report - one yesterday and one from Sunday.
Sunday:
£9 is Tesco whilst at the tournament - three meal deals; not a spend I'm happy with but with the baby there was no space for the cool box we usually take to the hotel to keep lunch bits in. Need to work on a solution for that for the next tournament.
Yesterday:
£4 in Lidl - demi baguettes, cookies, wraps, chocolate spread and a pecan pastry
£10 in Fulton Foods - Lurpack, 4pt semi skimmed, 2 x 1.5lt squash (one for home and one for bf to take away to America), bacon, garlic bread slices, cereal and sausage and stuffing lattice bites
Will add £14 to my sig now then read a few pages************************************

did weekly shop in Ald1 yesterday at £26.50 and some bits I prefer to get in Asd@ (cheaper) washing up gloves x 2 £0.48p and thin bleach £0.29p.
I also got milk and freezer containers to freeze left overs and batched cooking. Whilst there I whisked a punnet of cherry tomatoes away with a YS of £0.55p (half price). We spent a total of £4.71 in Ald1. :j
Got lots in the freezer and the meal plan.
And the great news? I've lost 3 pounds in WEIGHT since starting the GC mid April :j:j:jI've not felt hungry, nor missed my take away meals or ready meals

Payday tomorrow at last; but need to curb spends as about a third will clear overdraft, which has been covering bills and food and general shopping, waiting for wage. This month and August, we have to wait a bit longer for our wages; so need to remember that in the future when setting my budget.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Will update signature later (about to go and make tea), but I'm now dangerously close to half way through my budget and we're only a quarter of the way through the month - and I still need to go out again tomorrow for fresh milk for GD3 and fruit/veg for our long weekend away
OH said earlier this week that I was providing protein sources (and paying for the gas and electric we use while away) he'll pay for the veg etc. - something I'd normally ignore by refusing to take the money back from him (by failing to tell him what I've spent). But I think I may take him up on it this time, although I'll not charge him for the mushrooms and onions I bought today as I need some to make a bolognese to take up but will have several portions left for home at a later date (and to leave for DS1 to reheat tomorrow night).
Spent £2.97 in B'n'M on 2 lots of breakfast replacement biscuits (they'll do for munchies on days out / long walks) and a huge bag of cheese savouries (GD3 and I love Chedd@rs, so we can have a handful of these instead which is better portion control for her (she's only 2). Then another £14.70 in A1di on frozen cod, fresh sausages, frozen chips, peas and sweetcorn, milk for DS1, mushrooms and onions for making the bolognese (and beyond), 2 loaves of bread, and a pack each of cake bars and cereal bars for taking away (and a cheesecake I'll eat while watching TV tonight )
Also picked up some long-life milk for OH (he'll pay me back so not added to total) and a few bits from other budgets.Cheryl0 -
Evening all,
Hope I find you well!
I started May (on the 2nd) with a over budget of £250 and a well stocked kitchen.
To date I have spent £100. Have popped to Iceland, aldi,Morrisons and b&m.
Was hoping to defrost my freezer this week but I found so many great offers!
B&m had iams cat food 3kg bag for 9.99 (£15 in Morrisons-my closest) so got 3. 1 bag will last her 2/3 months as she doesn't eat a lot. Bargain!!
4 chicken breast reduced to £2.00 from i think £5- got 5 lol and 4 of 500g mince reduced to £1.50 each. Plus fridge bits and a bottle of wine at £5.
Hopefully with £150 to spare I will only need to top up fruit/veg/yogurts/bread and milk in the next few weeks.Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000
