A small spend of £5.11 yesterday. I went to A*di to get milk and crisps and then I called in Mr T to check out the ys. I managed to get a punnet of grapes, nectrines, 2x corn on the cob, coleslaw, potato salad and 12x warburtons buns for a pound :j
We are way under budget this month thanks to the l*dl weekend offers and YS
I'm thinking of treating us to a takeaway as A*di will have fresh chinese meals for 2 for £3.99 from tomorrow. Has anybody tried them before?£36/£240

Today I have been to mr t and M&S and I have spends from £stretch (mop bucket, bleach) and sains to add from Monday.
Total is now £166.29 which is a lot for 7th May but this includes DS party tea and cake and lots of stuff to take to the caravan next week. I have also stocked up on frozen veg and store cupboard bits like tinned toms, oil, Parmesan, balsamic etc to use a minimum spend coupon. It doesn't help keep my costs down when a small box of gf cereal and a small loaf cost £5.50:eek:
I did discover that sains basics stock cubes are gf today though which I was chuffed about. Pity i stocked up on the kalio ones on offer a while back but I will know for next time:)
I will still need to spend about £10 in M&S on Friday for more stuff for the caravan but that will be it until we get back. Anything we spend when we are away comes out of the holiday spends.
We will need a fresh shop when we come back and I will need to stock up on 'easy' stuff for DS and DH as I am away for 5 days within a few days of getting back from our family holiday.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Another £20 spent in wtrose yesterday on freezer food, chips, sausages and too many special offers bought that were not needed, namely chocolates and rice cakes .... Roll on June so I can start again.June GC Budget - 310/400
July GC Budget - 445/400

Wow, I didn't know that! I'm not gf, but some members of my extended family are, so I need things for when they visit. Stock cubes are the one thing I only use gf with.
Anyone know the cheapest place to get carrots (even in bulk)? I think that morrisons has a 3kg for £1.50, which is 50p per kilo, but I'm going through a kilo every two days with my juicing veg and fruit.0 -
First weekly shop of the month, a good chunk of it went stocking up on cat food for while we are away and nappies to see us through too and we are going to a BBQ at the weekend so some wine and meat for that also. In fact, I hardly bought anything for regular meals. Will probably need a top up shop before the weekend!

Close call nsd today! Didn't think I could bd bothered to make any dinner as I worked a 10 hour day today with no break. I suggested going to the chippy, and ds aged 7 said no, let's go home and check the meal planner! It was mac cheese, so no biggy really, but I'm VERY proud of ds.
I don't really like mac cheese... There's some left over which I'll nuke at work tomorrow if I have a lunch break, so I haven't yet eaten. I might do bacon and garlic pasta for me, or I might just do cheese on toast! Ooh, of I could use up something from the fridge... Too many choices!!!
