    Hello everyone!

Had good and bad things happen today...

First the bad. Got the tub if mac cheese out of the fridge this morning, with a banana, ready to take to work. During my morning break I went to have my banana... Turns out I left them at home! Luckily I keep a few bits at work, so for lunch I had a pack of hula hoops, a cereal bar and a hot chocolate!!

Next the good. Bf took me out for dinner!

    So, nsd today, woop woop!

    Morning everyone - it's Friday!!!

Should be a nsd today as bf coming over for dinner. I'm doing pasta bake from a jar that's been knocking around in the pantry for a while, with salad. Once he's gone, I'll be too tired to go out, so I'll have a lovely hot bath and an early night. I can't wait!

Does anyone know when the super six will change?

    Have a great Friday all!

Another NSD yesterday and will definitely be one today as not planning on going anywhere! That makes it 5 in a row! My longest stint yet! Plan on going shopping tomorrow as everyone wants curry and I need to get peppers. Other than those I could probably have waited until Sunday! Spends look on track. Just over 1/4 spent. Although the freezer is looking pretty empty. Random stuff like- 4 packs of YS tea cakes and ice cream and ice lollies and fish fingers! We could have fish fingers on Saturday so I wouldn't need to go shopping but there aren't many nights we a) eat together and b) got time to prepare something for the slow cooker.

I had a few NSDs this week, and used th bus instead of driving (leap card, equivalent of oyster, so prepaid). But we had the wrong crime frail he for last nights dinner so went to tesco for the right one (DD has ASD so the "wrong" thing is sometimes fine, but often really not). Which meant we got extra bread and milk pack of pasta to use next week, bag of bacon fries, and a bottle of wine...spent €32 but had a voucher for €5 off as part of that. Have to go back tonight as we are getting dd a pizza from the counter there (cheaper than takeaway) and OH and I get a choice of food to suit us, potentially seafood pasta in white wine and cream sauce (only buying the fish).

But we did stick to the menu for the rest of the week, and the freezer is now getting some space in it. I need to clear out a bit more this week, so I have room for easy dinners for while OH is away again next week.

    Morning, all.
This is my first month and to be honest, I'm shocked at what I've been spending in the first 10 days. But to my excuse it included a Green City wholefoods bulk order which only happens every 6 months. I am very well stocked on flours and other staples now and the freezers are full. I'm very proud that yesterday we went into Morrisons and I REALLY just got those Avocados ;) I went in for.
But all in all I do have to watch myself, food shopping seems to be a comfort activity for me and although I have the view of myself that I'm pretty nifty in the kitchen with leftovers and planning I catch myself with the odd thing going in the compost (total value this month so far around £ 2). Shopping is harder this month as lovely daughters are home for study leave and also need comfort food....I shouldn't take them shopping, I know ;)

    Hi all,

    Budgets updated to here :-D

My totals are looking shockingly bad. Just under £100 to last until 24th eeeeekkkkk!

Last night DH and the 3 children had breaded fish fillets with hm wedges, asparagus and broccoli. I had the veg with pasta and parmesan.

Tonight we are all at the rugby club for an awards dinner so will eat there.

Tomorrow we are on a 30km sponsored walk and some friends who are also taking part, have invited us for pizza takeaway afterwards.

    Sunday will be chicken fajitas.

    Have a good weekend all

I bought a huge block of mature cheddar and a large pack (32 slices) of cooked ham in Ald1 the other day. I have frozen the cheese in smaller blocks and the ham in 4 slice baggies. I also had two and a half sweet peppers in the fridge which I chopped and put into the freezer too.

I will be off to Mr M's later to see if they have any of the mixed deli meat on special or YS bargains.
