May need to adjust our grocery budget for this month. DH has decided to take part in the get fit program at his work, and to help him, I'll be making my smoothies for myself. At least that way we will have loads of fruit in the house instead of meat, cheese, and chocolate. I have no clue how much the budget will change, but I'll try to sit down and take a serious look at things over this long weekend so that DH can look over it with me.0

Today will be a NSD as I'm stuck at work. Next three days will be very spendy, but nothing on grocery I shouldn't think!0

I'm pleased to say I have had 2 no spend days and today would be another except I have forgetten to bring lunch in so have spent £6.00 on DH and I, this has come from our weekend play budget so not my May GC. Does this mean I class today as NSD number 3 - woohoo.
Have been very organised and taken some gammon slices out of the freezer so those with hm chips and beans for tea (slimming world style)June GC Budget - 310/400
July GC Budget - 445/400

Spent £42.50 for the weekly shop for us both, cat and dog including household items and alcohol. It would have been almost half that if we hadn't bought wine... we don't go out much ya see
;)
At least I can see we could, if push came to shove, probably survive quite comfortably on £25.00 per week
I may start winemaking, I had a lovely orange wine recipe years ago but lost my winemaking mojo

Can you put me down for £100 please
Normally I'd spend triple that but we're going away for a week at the start of June and want to save some money. Also we have a full freezer and the freezer needs defrosting! So hopefully it's doable!
Spends of £9.39 already, milk, a newspaper and lots of fresh bits from Ald!s super six.
P.s thanks everyone because this forum makes everything so much easier.Rubbish at the grocery challenge!0 -
Did a monthly stock up at Aldi for £36.05, we got cat litter, beer and cider, free range eggs, cheese and a few other bits. Hopefully the rest of the shops for this month will be little ones at Mr T's for fresh food every week.Getting married September 2015 :j0

Yesterday was my first day in May, and I not only managed a nsd, but went to asd@ with bf and he bought dinner! Even got lo chicken and a bit of roule cheese! Top that off with some pasta sauce in the freezer which he bought last week!! He doesn't often buy things towards dinners, so when he does, I like to streeeeetch it as much as possible!
The children are having hedgehogs for dinner, and I shall have cold chicken salad with mash, then the rest of the chicken will go in the freezer to make a pie in the next few weeks. Bargain!
We're just off to c00p to buy finger rolls, as dd wants hotdogs instead of hedgehogs... I don't mind, as it's Friday, and they're not normally fussy.
Tom we're out for lunch, from my pm budget, so prob a small dinner. Don't need much in my next shop - fruit, veg, cat food, bread and milk. I expect we'll go to a!di for that on Monday. We might go out for the day mon, so will shop on the way home.
So glad it's a long weekend; I need it just to catch up on my work!
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
Just bought a juicer in the charity shop for £10! Has a 6 month warranty as well. Checked the price online and it's an older model, but the newer ones of the same brand run around £150-160! I'll definitely be using that with the smoothie making. I'll probably order the blender that was mentioned above tonight once I get home as well.
Hopefully having the blender/food processor and juicer will let me use the bits in the freezer and pantry and I won't need to buy much for a bit for smoothies.
Also had a box of porridge sachets delivered today in the post for a survey trial, so that's 5 days worth of breakfasts for free!
Also inadvertently discovered that the wire in the 5m network cable from poundworld sets off security beeper things!!! Whoopsie. It's led to a few fun conversations with people at various stores today. With my size, it isn't like I could really get far if they wanted to check things!0
