Well April ended well over, so I'm going to set my May budget at £200. I need to get focussed and I need to try to make up for the overspend in April. I had a small spend of £15.90 yesterday and will be going to H&B over the weekend for toiletries/cleaning goods. Food stocks are good now until end of next week.

Think I am sorted. £100.70/£200 on GC and £47.11/£80 on personal spends. The PS did include lunch for my DD and me so I am not surprised at the total. I have a birthday to buy for this month which also comes under PS so better take it easy now. I have bought all the meat/groceries/cleaning/toiletries for the month so only fresh stuff and anything we run out of to buy from GC but a boring month in front of me now as dare not go near the shops unless vital suplies needed. And if OH buys anything I haven't asked him to get I won't be paying.

Had to go to shop today as needed bread, bananas and yoghurt. But made mistake of taking DD in with me and came out £9.64 lighter! Oh well, suppose could have been much worse!!

That takes me to £159.82 so far and still 18 days to go. Have DD's birthday next week so friends to stay might be spendy, plus couple meals out planned, but that's not grocery budget fortunately

Forget to add spends from the other day - spent £5.10 in Ikea on meatballs and sauces!! Updating sig now!

12th (me & DS1) : mince & baked beans mix (in freezer from 29th April) with pasta
13th (me & DS1) : outdoor bred chipolatas, potatoes and veg
14th (me) : Qu0rn Swedish Meatballs with pasta and sauce
15th (me) : Pasty with potatoes (baby new or chips) and veg
16th (me) : Breaded fish/poultry (freezer bag not marked as to which ), potatoes & veg
17th (me, DS & OH) : Pork Steaks, potatoes & veg
18th : youngest GDs christening, so we'll be eating at the buffet

19th (me) : Wild Boar & Apple Sausages, potatoes and veg
20th (me) : Boil in bag fish in butter sauce, rice and veg
21st (me & DS1) : Frying Steak (either made into stroganoff or with chips)
22nd (me & DS1) : Spag Bol (from freezer - made ?)
23rd (me & DS1) : Tuna Pasta (uses tinned toms and frozen peas & sweetcorn)
24th (me & OH) : Salmon, baby potatoes & veg
25th (me) : Beef Stew (from freezer - made ?)

26th (me & DS1) : Cottage Pie
27th (me & DS1) : Burgers with veg and chips or jacket or baby new
28th (me) : trout with ?
29th (me) : Qu0rn Lamb Grillsteak with jacket and veg
30th (me) : Breaded fish/poultry (freezer bag not marked as to which ), potatoes & veg
31st (me, DS1 & OH) : Traditional Pork Sausages, potatoes & veg

will need to buy potatoes and veg, but other than that the only stuff I need to shop for is the fish and the 'yet to decide on' meals for the weekend away with my GDs - everything else is in the house.

Just reporting an early but first week's spend off May budget - am out all day tomorrow which would be my usual payday shop.

My local aldi has stopped this I used to be there early morning well still do I always got my bread stuff 50 off then it went to 30 but no reduced any more even tried at gone 8.15 when they close at 9.00 I actually saw a trolley part fulll of goods but that was it.

Last night boss gave me a box of mangoes, box of strawberries and some lime pickle (?!)

Going to chop and freeze mangoes for smoothies (don't think we're quite there yet!)

Nsds planned for today and tom, planning on doing weekly shop on Monday. Either a!di or ffoods. Need about a tenner's worth of stuff, so might actually take cash... Trouble is, I'll have the ch with me... The other option is doing it tom when they're with their dad for a few hrs. Decisions, decisions!

We're just chilling this morning, then off to do the annual scarecrow hunt. It's the first time I'll have done it so I'm really excited. (Sorry, not gc related!)

Just off to put chicken in freezer; might involve playing freezer Tetris!
