I've spent £20.47 in Aldi on fruit, veg, ham & dairy stuff.
    That should last the week.

This is the kind of thing that totally puts me off on-line and click/collect ordering at the SMs. I would rather go myself and choose my stuff - making up my own mind about subs :)

Well done - great value. That's the way I do have my meal 'planning' each week - what I have managed to get on offer :rotfl:

That puts me off too. I don't know about other sms but with Mr T you can select not to have any substitutions - which I always do now. Will be ordering online more often as delivery costs are down and it saves time.

I choose my fruit and veg and fresh stuff myself - but for heavy stuff it is great to get it all delivered at once.

I have just spent what seemed like hours doing a Mr S on-line shop which came to £102. By the time I got to the checkout (about 10 mins) a lot of the things had been taken off offer and were back to full price. When I deleted them from my order it went down to £59 there were so many of them. I cancelled the lot and will go to Lid1s on Thursday so nothing spent from May's budget as yet. Not a happy bunny though.

  • Can you please put me down for $400 this month please.
Looks like I will be well under for April, have all the grandchildren this week, but their parents have loaded me up with lots of bits and pieces for them, so there will not be much extra cost at all.

OH and eldest DGD are busy making sausages, so that's tonight sorted.

Its really just convenience for me to do online. I literally drive past the door for work anf our asdo is a walmart supercentre so easily takes 1-2h to walk round! I always used to get tosco delieverd but went off it as so pricey.

I think looking back over orders its a mistake to get orders done for Monday morning as the store is so packed st weekend I end up with lots subs. Will start to have it tues in future, I rarely get subs then! X

Spend of just over £10 in ald!, which included enough sandwich meat for the month, and loads of f and v. Ch had scrambled egg on toast tonight, and I had their leftovers plus a bowl of porridge.

Accidentally did a whole cross stitch bookmark this evening, which means I've saved money on food, as I'd've been picking all evening otherwise!!

Tomorrow we're having hm pizza - must remember to make the dough before work in the morning, as not enough time after work before brownies to let it rise...

I'll be buying a loaf tom as dd doesn't like the best of both I got this week :@. She's put up with it for a few days as she understands the whole money thing, so I'll give in tom, while it's still April!!

Not planning on buying much at all in May, and the budget for the month will be £100. That's really low for me, but reflects the fact that I went over during April, and if I can manage on that, I'll have evened it out. We'll see... Always better to have a plan!!

    Night all,

My coop seems really good for bargains.
It has some low times but the last couple of weeks I've picked up lots!
Means I don't have to spend out much on good quality meat (coop is higher welfare) :)
If you have a coop local id always have a little check for bargains occasionally.
YS gammon, egg, HM chips and peas for dinner today! :)

    Good Morning.
I bought A girl called Jack cookery book yesterday from A*da after following her blog. I made the 9p burgers, the Love soup, Turkey meatballs, everything tomato sauce, and another soup. All really delicious and its all in the fridge for the next few days.
I need to be really strict with my budget this month as I'm gonna need surgery soon so will have to go on sick pay. So whatever I don't spend can go in savings to give us a buffer.
I spent 74 pounds in A*di and 21 pounds in A*da so will make that last as long as we can.
I want to do a spreadsheet for my spends with a running total. How do I do it please?
    Have a good day. X
