Hi everyone,
I'm new to the challenge, although have been reading for a little while!
In the house it's me, mum and dad and my DS who is 5yo.
Having been a little naughty recently with the grocery budget, it's time to rein it in! I do all the food shopping so have control over that and we have started meal planning which should decrease the 'ooh maybe we'll have that this week' which always leads to bigger spends!
Please put me down for £400
Thanks everyone0 -
Also forgot to add on previous post my spends for today:
£85.38 in Tesco for food, dishwasher tabs, washing liquid etc
Going to include all food, household items, cleaning supplies...but maybe not wine this month;) we'll see how we go.

I'm in again for May with a budget of £250.
Have just got back from holiday so have had to top up fridge & cupboard stores. Have already spent a hefty £69.66, although this did include meat on 3 for £10 deal, plus some pork fillet which was reduced, although not in the menu plan for this month.
Will need to have another look at my menu plan for May and see if I can incorporate the pork fillet somewhere and not buy something else later in the month! If not, then it will definitely be included in next month's menu plan.

Hello!
This is my first time joining the grocery challenge, although I have been a long-time lurker!
In our household there are two adults and 2 children, 5yo & 2yo.
We have some money issues and are in the process of getting back on track. For the last few weeks I have been giving us a weekly household budget to try and reign in the random spending. We haven't been doing too badly, but think I could do with the support of being part of the challenge.
I have been really enjoying doing a meal plan and have found some lovely bargains over the past few weeks. Heres hoping it continues!
Can you please put me down for £250 for May/£50 per week.
Thank you!0 -

Some spends to report from Sunday - there is a Morrisons just over the road from where the basketball team play so as they had two games I moseyed over to get bf some lunch (always says he won't want anything then does *rolls eyes*) and of course ended up buying more bits!
Nappies, wipes and formula but they are from a different budget.
Also some chocolate but that's from the trips budget.
GC spends:
£1 4x flavoured water
£1.50 greaseproof paper
£2 2x sandwich tins (for baking sponge cakes)
£3.20 meal deal for bf - taking from this budget to teach us a lesson re lunches at basketball!
£5 whole chicken
So £12.70 to add - nothing else needed for this week though so only just above the £20 per week average from my budget
Also bought two lunch boxes but not counting those.************************************
