My budget for April will be £460, this is going to be more of a challenge than last month as my freezer is looking pretty empty at the moment, and I only just managed a total of £480 last month

    Hello!!

Thank you for the new thread!!

Can I please be put down for £250,00? Normally the budget is £200 for the two of us, but I have 3 people (2 adults and a 10 y.o) coming over for 5 days the week before Easter.
As always it includes food, cat food, alcohol, toiletries, household items.
My month goes 1st to 1st. Still doing the March challenge but I will carry on reading here otherwise I'll never be able to catch up!!:D

Good luck to the ones who started already!!!

That's me officially on April - got paid today. Coxy - can you put me down for £160 as I'm still trying to reduce spends very slowly :D

    First spends this evening -
    • £1.69 - 2pk ready cooked corn on the cob
    • 84p - M**dow Park whole milk, 2ltr
    • 65p - YS parsnips 500g
    • £2.29 - shelled pistachios
    • 99p - Savers butter

    TOTAL - £6.46

Actually spent about a tenner more as I also bought a birthday card along with dark and milk chocolate, double cream and a clementine, all to make truffles this evening for a friend's birthday and Mother's Day, but I'll pay for those out of my spending money rather than the grocery budget as I would have had I bought an actual present. TBH, the butter and pistachios are for the truffles too, but as most of these will be left over for other things I'll include them in the budget. ;)

Random use-it-up meal tonight of lentil soup for the husband, veg stew for me, alongside toast and YS sausage rolls (all from the freezer). I would have had soup too, but I had some for lunch already. There are leftover sausage rolls but I'll pop them in my husband's lunch tomorrow. No picture as it wasn't very photogenic :rotfl:

Not finished for March yet until payday on the 4th of April; but would like to stick to the same amount of £320; with it being half term and mine and DD1s birthday, as well as Easter. I've got some Easter bits, but may need one egg each for the girls. Mentally I will be aiming for £300.

Hope you can see total Coxy11 .. On phone so struggling to make figures bigger.

Thanks to all who participate in the thread, and Good Luck.

DH was paid today, and I had a spend of £6.41 in Aldi today. Hoping to do the 'in town' monthly shop tomorrow. Keeps me out of the city centre and away from most of the shops!
