I dice and par boil potatoes.
    Fry off onion and mushrooms
Place par boiled pots, onion, mushrooms and a diced can of corned beef on a baking tray.
Place in the oven until the pots are brown and the corn beef is crispy.
I serve with a poched egg on top and bread.
Very good with loads of brown sauce. Yum.

I boil potatoes, then fry them until crispy. Add the chopped cornbeef (big chunks so it doesn't break down too much and cook for a couple of minutes. Then add a tin of baked beans to the mix and warm them through with a dash of brown sauce stirred through!

I never knew there were so many recipes for corned beef hash!

For two people this is what I do:

    About 1lb potatoes
    tin corned beef
    tin baked beans
    onion

Put the potatoes on to boil till they are just cooked but not mushy. Slice (not dice) the onion and fry it till it's brown. This is nicer in leftover dripping but veg oil will do. When the potatoes are just cooked, strain them and put them in the pan to fry up a bit. Add the cubed corned beef, baked beans and a dash of whatever you like, ie mustard and worcester sauce. Simmer till it's all heated through. To serve three, use more spuds and some cooked veg.

Corned beef is easier to dice neatly if you put it in the fridge overnight first.

Another tradition is to cook the potatoes, onion and corned beef like I do (skip the beans) then make two wells in the mixture in the frying pan. Break an egg into each hole and cook gently till the eggs are set.

  • I've got some ingredients I think for Corned Beef Hash but not sure if they are right ones?

Would it be rude of me to do a SOA for my possible corned beef hash?! You know what us men are like?!
