Hi
I'm on looking for slow cooker recipes too. Am sure there is a thread. If I find it I will be back.
Good luck!

My last oven had a slow cook facility, in the manual it said to use it for between 4 and 10 hours. I just use the times for my slow cooker.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I've found an old tin of corned beef lurking in the cupboard. Has anyone got any good corned beef hash type recipes for the slow cooker? Ideally made from things I already have - maybe beans, stock and tomatoes?
Does it need to be in the SC? Corned beef hash takes no time to cook, so I'd just do it on the hobDoing it in the SC runs the risk of the corned beef all going to mush.

I would do a potato, onion, carrot and corned beef stew thingy but I think it would go to mush on the SC unless you add it at the end or fry it slightly and add mid cook.0

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing CBH thread to give you more ideas:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0

Cheers for the ideas and tips. Bit of a shame it looks like 10+ hours is too long for SC recipes and isn't really suitable for corned beef! I've had the SC for a few years but it doesn't get used that much so I'm still learning with it :-)0

Im always making corned beef hash!!
I chop up the corned beef.
Put my tatties on to boil.
Soften chopped onions. Add corned beef. Add a sprinkling of gravy granules and a dah of bbq sauce (or worcester sauce). Add tin of tomatoes. Stir and simmer.
Drain and mash tatties,
pour in cornedbeed to casserole dish, spoon on mash, sprinkle with cheese and grill.
Serve with beetroot and peas, yum yumx
