I think you missed your instructor's point. What she was showing you was that with any vehicle you can line up certain points which will aid you every time. You will probably find that you do this anyway without thinking about it.


When I did my LGV test you had to stop with both the front of the vehicle exactly between two cones. You couldn't see the cones at all once you were within about 15 feet of them, so you had to use something as a reference point. Otherwise no amount of practicing would help.

Not if the clutch pedal is depressed, as most people would do when braking hard.
