I applied for and received a Virgin card at the end of August. The card has been used to BT the available credit to savings. There's still no sign of my freebie MP3 player after six weeks. Does anbody know if this is a typical delay?

I'm having the same problem, although only used my card early September, so am a bit behind you.

I called to query after 28 days had expired, and was told that it's 28 working days for the MP3 player to come through.

If this time period has already passed for you, then I can only recommend to call them

But please let me know what they say - as it looks as if I'll be calling them again too by 21st October ::)

I have the same problem so rang today to be told it takes up to 8 weeks to arrive!! They are in stock though.

Ahhhh, the old days v. working days standby.
It adds an extra week and a bit.

It says in the T&C, which I retained;

"within 28 days" of first using the card. There are the usual caveats about availablity, whilst stocks last and alternative gift, so don't hold your breath.

NB - MBNA FREE WATCH OFFER

I have just applied for the MBNA Card with the 0% balance transfer and FREE WATCH offer.

People applying should know that the "FREE" watch will not be sent out until 28 days after making the first purchase on the card - but no limit is specified.

well, I made my first purchase on 22 Sept. It's now 23rd Oct and I haven't received mine yet
