Ohreally I am actually going to appeal... I don't think there is much hope but I think it's worth trying!!

Don't hang about, inform them of your intention to appeal as there are strict timelimits to meet.
    Don’t be a can’t, be a can.

I just want to tell you that everyone makes mistakes and there's no need to make yourself sick over it every minute of everyday. You need to know that your mental health comes first and you are not valued by the job that you have or don't have. You are important and the mistake that you made was not life threatening or dangerous so give yourself a break. I'm sure you're a lovely person and you will find work even though it will be harder.
  • Awww Cocopops thank you!!

I do find it difficult not to get down and blame myself for the mess were in but thank you for your very kind words :-)

You're very welcome. I understand completely that it's very easy to blame yourself all the time but always keep the bigger picture in mind which is your health and love from people who truly care about you.

Its hard enough to get a job when you have been made redundant when that was no fault of your own. Lots of companies wont interview people who are not in work let alone ones who got a GM against them.
They do have interviews though, even over people who have been made redundant when no fault of their own.

That's says volumes about these companies and they are the ones who are potentially missing out.

And have not told the companies why they are no longer at the company. No mentions of the GM yet.

Exactly so inform them and get a record of your intent to appeal, and from the OP it sounds like you don't have much time left to appeal.

Otherwise they'll be able to say you're out of the procedural timescales and disregard.

Needn't be the basis of appeal, just notification of intent.
